Any movie with a guy in a gorilla suit is bacon with me! What are some of your favorites?
Any movie with Micheal Gough is OK in my book!
KONGA (1961)

Indeed he was, me friend! He was also a 2-headed gorilla in the THING WITH TWO HEADS!

Oh, and take your pick of any Planet of the Apes movie.
Here's an oldie!

(...obviously)
Of course KING KONG (1933)
(https://i.imgur.com/Lbr1H4d.jpg) (https://lunapic.com)
King kong lives. This movie was so bad its best scene was a 1.27 second shot showing one of Linda hamilton's nipples.
Btw does robot monster count?
If it does i guess we have to count Lobster man from mars too.
ROBOT MONSTER counts.
LOBSTER MAN FROM MARS? I don't know. Is a gorilla in it? If not- i would say no. If there is, I would say say yes!
the GORILLA (1939).
It's awful. Even Bela and Atwill can't save this thing.
I would dare to say even Bela's Bowery Boy movies are better than this.
(https://i.imgur.com/du9wbzr.jpg) (https://lunapic.com)
the Jungle Woman movies with Acquanetta- and Vickie Lane in the last one.
People always give these movies s**t-I don't know why. They always got great folks like John Carradine, Rondo Hatton, J.Carrol Naish,Evelyn Ankers...!
And they always had gorillas too!

It's actually an apeman! Played by Bull Montana- who played the same role in a couple movies!
Bull also played an apeman in GO AND GET IT (1920) and VANISHING MILLIONS (1926) as an apeman too! This picture is from GO AND GET IT (1920).

Yes, RCM, lobster man from mars has a gorilla in it as a tribute to robot monster. If you haven't seen it yet you should. It's kinda like "the producers" with a terrible homemade Scifi film, the title, standing in for "springtime for hitler".

I had forgotten this till last night, but THE LOST EMPIRE features a gorilla on a leash used by one of the villains to torment the captive women.
not from a movie, but I feel like chucking this in because it's great

ESCAPE was really interesting in a- what do you call it?- in a political way that really fit with all the Nixon s**t.
While perhaps not actually a gorilla the 1959 movie "the manster" featured a decided my subhuman, apish creature.

the MANSTER is f**ked up in many ways.
Yeah RC, I tried to interpret it in a couple ways.
I mean, one possible way was to look at it as the reefer madness version of "Don't xxxx foreign women"movies because it all began when the america let himself be seduced into adultry by the hot Japanese babe assisting the scientist.
Maybe it was made by an angry ww2 vet with a real ax to grind against "the j-ps" and wanted to make a movie telling americans nit to trust 'em.
Maybe it was a message abiut aduktry being a sin that will send you to hell, tho at the end the american survived and the woman who seduced him got tossed into a volcano.

I realize the title for this is Movies with Gorillas, but, I'd think I'd be remiss, if I did not mention this.
If any of us are in New York City this year and wish to take in a show, then one could do worst than seeing King Kong : Alive on Broadway, which is now playing on Broadway.
Actually, this is not the only Broadway show that has a film pedigree. Of the 37 Broadway shows now showing, some 30% have a film pedigree. And there are several good reasons for this.
1st Not all will be a hit, but their chance of being a hit increases, when they come with a built-in audience from the film.
2nd They extend the life of the film.
3rd It gives us who wanted to see it with an audience, but missed our chance. A 2nd chance to see it with other audience members.
For example: the town east of where I live, each summer puts on something called Shakespeare in the Park. This time they are putting on Shakespeare in Love. Yes, that Shakespeare in Love. The film that was converted into a play, which originally played in London (U.K.)
Can Godzilla : the Musical with a tap dancing Godzilla be far behind?
