I love the APES movies. I even watched the TV show every week.

ESCAPE was really interesting in a- what do you call it?- in a political way that really fit with all the Nixon s**t.

While perhaps not actually a gorilla the 1959 movie "the manster" featured a decided my subhuman, apish creature.

Yeah RC, I tried to interpret it in a couple ways.

I mean,  one possible way was to look at it as the reefer madness version of "Don't xxxx foreign women"movies because it all began when the america let himself be seduced into adultry by the hot Japanese babe assisting the scientist.

Maybe it was made by an angry ww2 vet with a real ax to grind against "the j-ps" and wanted to make a movie telling americans nit to trust 'em.

Maybe it was a message abiut aduktry being a sin that will send you to hell,  tho at the end the american survived and the woman who seduced him got tossed into a volcano.

Actually, the man and the monster split and both fell into a volcano...the girl lived. And the goat!

ORLOFF AGAINST THE INVISIBLE MAN (1970)
Which is a Jess Franco movie, and the invisible man (who leaves shoe prints all over the place) is actually a guy in a ratty gorilla suit. Makes no f**king sense whatsoever.
