Give me a break. Here's a partial list of new movies being released just this week, per Rotten Tomatoes:
A Holiday Chance
The Nine Kittens of Christmas
A Loud House Christmas
Angel Falls Christmas
Christmas CEO
Reba McEntire's Christmas in Tune
An Unexpected Christmas
Time for Them to Come Home for Christmas
Merry Liddle Christmas Baby
Christmas at Castle Hart
Royally Wrapped for Christmas
Making Spirits Bright
Christmas in Tahoe
The Christmas Contest
Miracle in Motor City
Christmas Is You
How is this even possible? I mean, I like Christmas, but how can the market possibly support such an infusion of cookie-cutter crap?
Just B-Grade TV movies. How could the 60's market sustain all those beach party films? How could the 30's market sustain all those East Side Kids films? How could the 80's market sustain all those slasher films?
Simple: they're targeted at an audience. These audiences can be really specific. Think of Sun Classic Pictures; they focused on conservatives families, but they sub-divided that audience into smaller segments. Conservative families who like animal films; conservative families who like miracle films, etc.
These aren't just Christmas movies; they're Christmas movies for people who like Reba, who like kittens, who want a cheese love story, etc.

I agree, but I'm pretty they didn't used to release 16 different beach party movies in one week! It's a seasonal thing, I get that, but this is ridiculous. Maybe bots really are making these? https://youtu.be/LVB25kDMN_Y

Actually, most of those films were made in the 40's and 50's....

You're right; my mistake. Looks like the first East Side Kids film wasn't released till 1940, & the Dead End Kids/Little Tough Guys didn't start making movies till the late 30's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Side_Kids
We started watching and making fun of christmas movies on Netflix a few years ago. They are like alternative reality movies or wishful thinking fantasy movies. They always try to be heartwarming and inspiring but they usually come off fake like press on nails.
On the other hand if these movies make people feel good then so be it. There's a movie genre out there for everyone to enjoy.
a lot of those sound like title of crappy Hallmark movies
I can actually answer this.
My mother-in-law.
She watches these movies all year round and I believe generates enough advertising income to keep the whole industry going.

A Wedding For Christmas
A Christmas In Royal Fashion
One Fine Christmas
Baking Christmas
A Christmas Princess
A Royal Christmas Engagement
Talk about a sub-genre..

Katie Sackhoff keeps telling me that she'd love me to watch her Hallmark Christmas movie.
Turns out a number of those I listed are produced by/play on Netflix. They're horning in on Hallmark's territory.

Who is Katie Sackhoff?
Most famous for playing Starbuck in the Battlestar Galactica remake and Bo Katan in The Mandalorian.
New releases this week:
Welcome to the Christmas Family Reunion
Saying Yes to Christmas
A Chestnut Family Christmas
Match Made in Mistletoe
A Christmas Village Romance
A Christmas Dance Reunion
Eight Gifts of Hanukkah
Kirk Franklin's A Gospel Christmas
Jingle Bell Princess
My Favorite Christmas Melody
A Furry Little Christmas (I hope this is porn)
Looking at the list made me wonder why Thanksgiving movies aren't that popular. Hallmark only did four this year if I'm not mistaken.
Could be the lack of an international market for them? Just a guess there though.

What's terrifying to me is that there
is a market for any of this syrupy pablum.
Another one out this week: The B... Who Stole Christmas (this one has drag queens at least)
