For those who cook, I'm interested in what you're making. With pictures if possible.
I probably average cooking a meal once a week or so.
Last night: turkey legs in gravy (not pictured: mashed potatoes, not from scratch):

Once a week or so?? What do you eat? Cold cereal and sandwiches?
Tonite I'm having steak and onions, collards, and mashed potatoes.
I made me a ground beef breakfast gravy bowl with toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. This was more of a brunch.
My gravy recipe:
1 tbsp Butter
500gr (17,6 oz) ground beef
1 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
500ml (2 cups) milk
a few spritzer of Maggi seasoning

I don't count just reheating stuff (leftovers, frozen pizza, pasta, store-bought soup, etc.) as cooking. I also eat out once or twice a week.

Forgot to take a picture of this when it was plated with salad and French bread. It's crab in mushroom soup with cream and sherry. The salad was really good, though (but I bought it already prepared).
I had a bowl of Capt.Crunch for dinner, so there wasn't any cooking involved.
I cooked honey ginger pork chops. I was too busy making it that I didn't take any pics of it being made.

Cajun Steak Bites in Garlic Butter. (Not pictured: mashed potatoes)
I just made an Amish Oatmeal Bake (first time) and it was pretty good. Not sure how authentic it was, but ingredients included cinnamon apple sauce, blueberries, vanilla extract, a bit of salt, eggs, baking powder, milk, maple syrup, melted butter. Oatmeal was soaking in Greek yogurt overnight in the fridge before adding the other stuff, and then baking it.
You are all making me hungry

My first time cooking homemade waffles using a waffle iron. These are Brazilian style, meaning they include parmesan cheese in the batter. Better than it sounds. I ate it with maple syrup just like a regular waffle.

Filet mignon with butter, rosemary and garlic. This was the best steak I ever cooked!
Waffles with parmesan in the batter? People have been burnt at the stake for less.

looks nice :tongueout: (tongue-out emoji in 'backup use' mode)
used to be a chef in a chinese takeaway so stir fries, noodles, rice dishes are my forte... pretty hopeless at anything else!

Brazilians put cheese in everything! I swear they weren't bad.
To continue the cheese theme: risotto with lots of parmesan

I got a waffle kit for Christmas last year, including a waffle iron and a box of waffle mix. The catch was, the waffle mix was made of rice flour.
We made waffles last Sunday and yikes, they tasted like saw dust. I'm sure rice flour has its place somewhere but not in waffle mix.
I made a prime rib last night, fried with onions, mixed greens with hot sauce, and mashed potatoes.

You probably got a gluten-free version

Yep, it was.
Merguez with spicy carrots and potatoes
Cheeseburger with jalopenos and mustard on Rye and french fries.
I made me Thai Peanut Curry, added a jar of yellow cocktail tomato sauce. I skipped the rice and ate the curry with fries like UK people.
Pot roast, collard greens and black eyed peas with hot sauce mix, and buttermilk biscuits.

Coconut macaroons. Delicious (especially when hot) and super-easy: mix one 14 oz bag coconut flakes, 2/3 cup flour, salt, two tsp vanilla, and a 14 oz can of condensed milk, form into balls, bake at 350 for 13 minutes.

Lemon pound cake.
Continuing my experiments with Dhal.
Several years ago, I bought some split lentils on a whim. I didn't bother to look up a recipe and improvised. Ever since I have been stubbornly trying to reinvent the wheel.
Lat nite I made a steak with onions, mashed potatoes, and spinach.
I had this can of figs for some time and wasn't sure "how" to eat them. I mean, I could have eaten them straight out the can, but I asked A.I. if I could include them in some savory dish.
A.I. gave me a Middle Eastern inspired ground beef recipe that includes diced canned figs, garlic, onion, tomato paste and spices (salt, pepper, cinnamon, paprika, cumin, parsley). I did add some chili infused oil to give it a little kick.
This was pretty good. Served it on rice in a bowl.
Basic today. Just cooking up some Spam.
