What are your favorite pizza toppings?
I mainly go for pepperoni, onion, artichoke, and bell peppers. I'm also known to go on adventures and try out others like gyro meat, shrimp, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red bell peppers, pineapple. For me to like pineapple on pizza the pineapple must be roasted, as I find it better that way than unroasted. Roasted pineapple isn't as juicy as regular pineapple.
Sausage, mushrooms, black olives, jalapenos, extra cheese, crushed red peppers.
But if I had a choice of any pizza in the world, it would be NYC plain cheese pizza.
Like bagals, NYC pizza is the best, hands down.

We have a few Turkish owned pizza places, they make a killer sucuk pizza

It's almost like pepperoni but made of beef, oily (the red fat/oil from the sucuk usually tints the pizza), a bit spicier with a little more chew. Very flavorful and damn delicious.
Pepperoni and onions are nearly non-negotiable, lol. But chicken pizzas are nice too.

Here in Germany people love salami on pizza. You won't find many pizza places offering pepperoni, even though available, it's just not a popular topping.
Girl at the Supermarket checkout asked me what my favorite topping was as I had pizza fixings i was buying. I said rib because I'd recently had some rib meat topped pizza, but in general it's just pepperoni.
Reason I'm telling the story though is she said one customer's favorite pizza topping was broccoli and it blew her mind. To have something so nondescript as your favorite topping I guess I see what she means.
I've never tried anchovies. I mean- fish on pizza? Who thought of that? Why? Some homesick Norwegians?
One place near me does a chicken ceasar pizzza. Pretty good actually.
Another has a pickle pizza. Surprisingly good.
I generally stick to pepperoni though. Except down the Jersey Shore. One place is open 5pm to 5am and they got a variety of toppings/off the wall stuff, plus your regular pizza toppings. Bars close at 230/3. They get swamped but still make a good pizza.
I generally stick to my usual order of thin crust pizza with flies and stinkbugs as a topping 🍕🍕😉😉🐢🐢🐢🐢
french fries ON pizza? never heard of that, how can it work?
no idea what agurula is. someone please invent google
spinach is a straight no. and I like eggs, but on pizza no.

It's a salad ingredient used in dishes like pasta and pizza.
Arugula on pizza was super-trendy in the early 2010s, at least in my neck of the woods. A few local pizza places here still offer arugula on pizza.

QuoteThe idea of french fries on pizza, while not ancient, has been gaining popularity in recent years, particularly in pizzerias that are looking to innovate or appeal to a younger crowd.
Pizza Hut experimented with a "Loaded Fries Pizza" in one of their locations, testing various methods to ensure the fries remained crispy when delivered.

Eggs on pizza, I believe, is an American invention and falls into the "breakfast pizza" category (can include bacon, ham, tater tots, bell peppers, cheese, sauce hollandaise, sausages). I have done breakfast style pizza before, but it is kinda tricky to get the eggs just right. What eventually worked for me was pan frying the eggs first and then added on the pizza when almost done.
^ If I'm gonna have breakfast, I'll have breakfast. If I'm hungover and don't feel like cooking, I'll have cold pizza for breakfast. But the 2 together sounds disgusting.

ah ok, looks like more of a garnish... probably wouldn't notice it if it was there, or miss it if it wasn't

it seems like something that would get too messy?
my first ever job after leaving school was making pizzas. the bases were readymade, but the rest was kind of from scratch. I was thrown in at the deep end and had no real idea what I was doing from day 1... some of the abominations I came up with, mostly because I would manage to burn them. but I never had one sent back!
Breakfast pizza is really hit or miss, and I find it to be more miss than hit. The best breakfast pizza I've had was a glorified biscuits and gravy, with the pizza being a giant biscuit, gravy as sauce, and other breakfast items as the toppings.

They always do something new for attention, I assume, and come up with weird rage bait-ish creations. In some cases it works.
They were probably looking for alternatives to fresh basil.
I'm not much a fan of arugula. As a salad (with oil & vinegar), it's not good. It is ok wilted down in pasta dishes, as an alternative to spinach. On pizza? I wasn't impressed.
I think fries on pizza doesn't look too gross.
