A lot of Pabst Blue Ribbon was stolen (https://www.kwqc.com/2026/08/31/pabst-blue-ribbon-gives-thieves-deadline-return-40000-pounds-stolen-beer/) recently.
QuoteThe Pabst Brewing Company is asking the public for help after more than 40,000 pounds of beer was stolen in what may be one of the largest beer heists in history.
Montclair Police said Friday they are investigating two cargo thefts from the Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, California, at least one of which involved a truckload of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Pabst said it would give the thieves 18 days and 44 minutes to return the beer in its Aug. 21 post – so the clock is ticking. The company is also offering a reward for help solving the theft.
You gotta be really desperate to steal that much Pabst beer.

This was probably the same thief who stole all those Kit Kat chocs a while back 😏🐢
PBR is huge in Boston. "Heineken? f**k that s**t...Pabst Blue Ribbon!"
Ew. If you're going to steal beer, steal a good one.

Yeah, that was my first thought too. At the
very least take some Coors. Or some fine craft beer.
Eh, Obama seemed to enjoy it.......

Exactly. I wouldn't even drink PBR is it was offered to me for free.

Not likely, it was a publicity stunt.

Bud Light is a bit more palatable than PBR. I've enjoyed it on occasion. I like different brands though.
Pabst is now offering (https://www.kcra.com/article/pabst-blue-ribbon-reward-beer-theft-california/73595354) a reward for the return of its water...excuse me, I meant beer.
QuotePabst Blue Ribbon wants its beer back, and it's offering a reward to help that happen.
Greig DeBow, the CEO of Pabst Brewing Co., said Wednesday that the company will pay up to $20,000 to anyone who provides new information that leads to the recovery of 1,602 cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon and non-alcoholic Old Milwaukee beer. The beer went missing Aug. 17 in Southern California.
"I'm sure they look cool with a garage full of PBR," DeBow said in a post on TikTok. "That's actually not cool though. We want it back."
I guess the beer thieves decided an upgrade (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5yjred1dleo) from Pabst to Guinness was in order...
QuoteThieves have stolen more than 800 barrels of Guinness by driving off from a depot with two HGV trailers.
About 70,000 pints worth of the stout, estimated to be worth £115,000, were taken from Whitehouse Industrial Estate on Aston Lane in Runcorn on Monday, Cheshire Police said.
One wagon-load was taken at about 19:45 BST and a second one was stolen at about 21:30.
The stolen barrels - which each would hold about 88 pints - had been destined for pubs, the force added.
Note to self: if stealing beer, move overseas first.

Well, depending on what country one is moving too other beverages aside from beer might be better. Such as vino in France or Italy. Or Ouzo in Greece.

True...
I prefer Belgian & loathe British....
Ooh, I'd rank world beer producers 1. Belgium 2. Britain 3. Germany 4. US... a huge number of crap beers in the US, but also some of the world's best brews.
They found (https://www.freightwaves.com/news/police-recover-trailers-after-155k-guinness-heist-but-880-barrels-remain-missing) the trailers but the beer is still missing.
QuotePolice recovered two stolen trailers about 30 miles from Runcorn, England, but their Guinness cargo remains missing. Investigators now place the haul at approximately 880 barrels worth £115,000, or about $155,000. Lancashire Constabulary located both units around Lathom in Skelmersdale. Cheshire Constabulary has announced no arrests.
Investigators determined someone left the first trailer near Hall Lane around 3:05 a.m. Tuesday. Evidence placed the second near Gillibrands Road at approximately 12:07 p.m. Wednesday. The truck hauling that equipment reportedly pulled out in front of a silver or white Renault Captur. A student driver operated the vehicle with a driving instructor present.
Detectives want to speak with both Renault occupants about the encounter. Officers also seek Skelmersdale residents who noticed suspicious activity around either location. Businesses should report unexpected offers involving bulk Guinness purchases. Authorities believe criminals may try selling the missing beer through the black market.
Detective Sergeant McClatchey welcomed the trailer recovery while stressing that the search continues. "These kegs are stolen goods that are being sold on by black market criminals," McClatchey said. Investigators urged anyone questioning a seller's source to contact authorities. Tipsters can call 101 and reference incident number IML-2408641.
