JEBEDIAH'S AXE was filmed near one of my favorite arrowhead hunting spots on a nearby lake.

JACK-O (1995) was the first bad horror movie I rented and watched with my friends. We still remember it fondly and quote it to this day, as we had an entire night of laughs with it.

The 'sex' scene in Gamerz was recorded in a shop in Glasgow I used to frequent, called Hellfire. It's now an art gallery. It's also just a few doors up from where I joined the RAF and across the road from the statue of the Duke of Wellington that always has a traffic cone on it.

My aunt was a theatre director and professor who took acting classes in the late 70s with Tracy Pollan (aka Mrs. Michael J. Fox), who at that time was dating Kevin Bacon, thus my aunt knew him, too. He was really excited about making his big break in this movie FRIDAY THE 13TH. According to my aunt, all his friends were embarrassed for him when it came out.

I went to school with (and was taught by the mother of) someone who was in DEAD WOOD (2007).

3.4 on IMDb

sample user review:

""Dead Wood". Get it? Dead wood. Wood is sort of dead, the bad actors are nearly all dead, hence their CGI merger with the trees means they're "dead wood". Plus, of course, the paper on which this movie's script was hurriedly written is made out of dead wood, and the ideas contained in the script itself are just as dead as the paper they were written on – which is wood-based, as I mentioned earlier."

Not a personal connection for me as such, but Kristi is friends with someone who played a Goblin in Troll 2, and who ended up with a stalker because of it. Despite this, her friend did agree to sign my DVD of it if we ever meet in person.

Imagine your life is so uninteresting that you are reduced to stalking someone who played a Goblin in TROLL 2....... not stalking Nicole Kidman or Beyonce or Ryan Gosling or a Kardashian even... no, you're driven to stalk an extra who appeared in a relatively obscure horror movie in monster makeup. :buggedout:

I hope you get that signature someday, though!v :bouncegiggle:

I appear in this movie that has a 3.7 IMDb rating: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6250554/

Part of me half expects to find out it was the woman who played the mother. I saw a documentary about Troll 2, including interviews with the cast. She did not come off as being a very stable person.

Oh Kristi also knows several of the actors in SLC Punk, although they warned her never to watch it and I've not seen it myself but I have met at least one of the actors from it (all I can remember of him is his first name though, Russ), and he said Matthew Lillard was a total jerk.

SLC PUNK is an earnest movie w/ some good scenes and supporting performances. I imagine 90s Matthew Lillard was pretty insufferable.

Rev, should we all watch PAYDAY?

No. Not a "good" bad movie, just a low-budget grinder for Tubi. Everyone was very sincere and I made friends on the set, but the final product was nothing to brag about.

Ah well. There's a lot of "grinders" produced around Buffalo these days. Legendary Bad horror movie director Fred Olen Ray moved out here some years ago and now cranks out nothing but Hallmark-type holiday and/or romance movies. The latest one starred Tony Danza and Mario Lopez, which got people quite excited.  I don't know why I've never mentioned the Fred Olen Ray thing before - maybe because I'll never watch any of these holiday/romance movies.

I was friends with someone involved in the production of the incredibad Australian vampire Matrix rip off called Reign In Darkness. Haven't seen him in many years, I must catch up with him somehow.
