JACK-O (1995) was the first bad horror movie I rented and watched with my friends. We still remember it fondly and quote it to this day, as we had an entire night of laughs with it.

The 'sex' scene in Gamerz was recorded in a shop in Glasgow I used to frequent, called Hellfire. It's now an art gallery. It's also just a few doors up from where I joined the RAF and across the road from the statue of the Duke of Wellington that always has a traffic cone on it.

My aunt was a theatre director and professor who took acting classes in the late 70s with Tracy Pollan (aka Mrs. Michael J. Fox), who at that time was dating Kevin Bacon, thus my aunt knew him, too. He was really excited about making his big break in this movie FRIDAY THE 13TH. According to my aunt, all his friends were embarrassed for him when it came out.

Not a personal connection for me as such, but Kristi is friends with someone who played a Goblin in Troll 2, and who ended up with a stalker because of it. Despite this, her friend did agree to sign my DVD of it if we ever meet in person.

Part of me half expects to find out it was the woman who played the mother. I saw a documentary about Troll 2, including interviews with the cast. She did not come off as being a very stable person.
