Anybody who's noticed me knows I love BEATLES. Though, these days, I am not such a big fan of PAUL or his songs... and though this one has a song on it I don't want to hear, there is basically one BEATLES album for me when I can even take... well, it's just a phase I'm going through... you believe me, don't you? This album I am listening to now 'cause I heard part on the car radio this afternoon. This album has become my favorite BEATLES.

Candlemass are purdy wicked in my book. First album I heard from them was Ancient Dreams. Made me stop listening to all the Bay Area stuff I was into at the time and introduced me to the wonderful world of DOOOOM! Well, along with CF's To Mega Therion which was doomy in it's own special way. You into Paradise Lost DWV? They never made a bad album even though they strayed a lot from their original sound (see: Host) they'll still have more integrity than Metallica will ever have.
One of my favorite albums: MALCOLM McLAREN Duck Rock

Spawn of Possession - Incurso

This band has really been growing on me lately. Repetitive but mellow and very relaxing (and refreshing for a doom group).

In response to your question, Voltron: I've heard of Paradise Lost. Listened to a bit of it but I need to listen to few albums before I really decide what I think of them. Some of my friends are super into Paradise Lost, though. And frankly, I think Mortician has more credibility than Metallica these days. :bouncegiggle: :twirl: :teddyr:

Oh man if THAT'S not the biggest insult to be hurled at Metallica I don't know what is. :bouncegiggle:
As far as Paradise Lost goes, if you like more heavier doom stuff check out the Gothic album. An early genre defining classic in my book. I think Draconian Times is a great place to start as well. It's basically a continuation on what they were doing on the Icon album only they really nailed it there. Interestingly their latest album (can't remember the name) is a step back into their Gothic era stuff. It's the sort of thing where I think some fans would gripe that they're trying to get the fans they've lost over the years, but whatever. It's still pretty kickass as well.

This album and band has really grown on me recently. So much so that I just bought a Killing is My Business shirt today. Money well spent.

Listening now. It's hypnotic. Reminiscent of early
PINK FLOYD.
