Having seen the review of this end of the world cage movie is what kept me from watching "knowing".
I never saw this one, but from what I heard it was dreadful all the way around; plus it was a remake of a movie that was only ten years old.
I'm a Christian, I do believe in the rapture of the Church, but still not a fan of this movie franchise, the new or the original.
My wife and I watched that version of "Left Behind" on Netflix a couple of weeks ago. It was entertainingly awful. If SyFy and the Trinity Broadcast Network collaborated on a film, that would have been the result.
Now I have a morbid interest in seeing the earlier direct-to-video version that starred former "Growing Pains" teen heart throb turned relgious nut-bar Kirk Cameron. The Nic Cage version has gotta at least be better than that one, right??
From what I heard, Cage's version is actually even worse.
Watching skeptic's review I gotta say it looked pretty awful. And I do fully admit skepty is not an unbiased reviewer.

I don't see how that could be possible. Now I HAVE to see the Kirk Cameron version! Damn it!

I don't know about that. I know he's an atheist and sunk a s**t-ton of time and money into a cult that only repaid him with scorn, but I would imagine he goes in pretty open minded.
Mind you, this is a review of a remake of a Kirk Cameron movie that I've heard is even worse.
I reallcan't watch the kirk cameron version, after seeing a scene of him in one of his movies i just have too strong a cringe reaction when i see him now. :buggedout:
Apocalypse IV: Judgment; is probably not as bad as "Left Behind" but it comes close. The court arguments are what appears to be based on every single bad argument presented on all the forums I've visited in the past 25 years from both sides. It would be hilarous if the filmmakers did not take it so seriously.
