Amazingly bad movie I found on Netflix.

The story: Aliens take over a small Midweatern town in the 1950s. Flashfoward to present day (i.e. 1983) and a college instructor's ex-wife goes to visit that town and doesn't return. The former husband goes to investigate. Hilarity ensues.

Poorly acted. Paul LeMat has to be one of the most unappealing actors around. The supporting "actors" are non-actors. The actors playing the aliens in human form (think: "V") are pathetic.

The f.x. are poor., rght down to the "flying saucers" and "mothership". And the interior to the departing ship looks like a basement to a sewage facility

The screenplay is also junk right along with the direction.

But one scene gets me every time. Right after LeMat's dog gets "kidnapped", he's standing in middle of the street with the camera zooming by in a low angle in different directions. What the hell was that all about?!?!

Long live Netflix. With 55,000 movies available, Netflix has a bevy of  baaad movies that Blockbuster won't touch.

Fearless Freep

Ah, man, this is a great, fun movie!
