I just bought Blue Underground's recent release of VAMPYRES (aka VAMPYRES, DAUGHTERS OF DRACULA).  It is one of the best vampire movies of the 1970s.

THE PSYCHOTRONIC ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FILM calls this "the ultimate erotic vampire movie," and I must agree.  There is plenty of nudity, sex (both straight and lesbian), and blood packed into this low-budget gem.  This movie would probably be close to an NC-17 rating by today's standards.

The special features include recent interviews with the 2 female stars, Anulka and Marianne Morris.  These interviews are fairly brief (less than 15 minutes in total), but you learn a few interesting things about the making of the movie.

I recommend this to all fans of 1970s vampire movies.
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

I remember renting this a year and a half or so ago.  I had seen it before, but only glimpses.  I quite enjoyed it too, just because I had been on a vampire movie binge and this was a good, different offering.

In fact, I think I've actually got it on dvd myself [makes mental note to check if I have it, and with the interviews].

I really do dig the atmosphere of this film.

Yes, I own this one and it's one of my favorite Vampire flicks. Overall great film.
