THE EVIL MIND is a decent Claude Raines movie from 1935.  He has a stage act where he blindfolds himself and his assistant (Fay Wray!) goes into the audience and has people hand various objects to her.  Then Claude announces what the objects are.  The act is all a trick, but Claude eventually finds out that he can see the future.  He predicts a mining disaster, and when it happens he gets arrested and put on trial for causing mayhem.  The prosecuting attorneys try to prove that the miners panicked because of his prediction and that's what caused the disaster.  Not a bad movie, but the ending could have been better.  This movie is in the HOLLYWOOD LEGENDS 50 MOVIE PACK.

UNKNOWN WORLD is a cheap, terrible sci-fi adventure from the early 1950s.  A scientist and a group of his loyal cohorts decide that humanity will eventually destroy itself with hydrogen bombs.  So they get into this contraption that looks sort of like a huge van with a drill on the front of it (obviosuly a toy that is about a foot long) and head for the center of the earth where they will be "safe."  All that happens is that they travel for awhile in the giant drill, get out, look around, get back in, and travel some more.  This same routine goes on repeatedly for about 75% of the movie.  If you have insomnia, this movie might help you sleep.  This movie is in the SCI-FI CLASSICS 50 MOVIE PACK.

OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN is a movie starring Peter Weller as a guy who discovers a huge rat living in his house.  No matter what he tries, he can't get rid of it.  Before long, he becomes obsessed with killing the rodent and the movie becomes a battle of wits between man and animal.  This is an okay movie (basically, a harmless, mindless way to spend about 88 minutes).  It was directed by George P. Cosmatos (RAMBO, COBRA, etc.).  The biggest drawback is that it takes place in New York City but was filmed in Montreal.  Anyone who has ever been to New York City will not be fooled . . . the city streets in the movie look nothing like New York.  I picked this up for $5.99, which isn't a bad price for this movie.

Haven't seen THE EVIL MIND. Sounds like a good one.

I also seen UNKNOWN WORLD which is kinda boring except the fact that they have a tunneling machine that can take them to the center of the earth. Neat idea.... bad execution. The film is shot in Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.

Of the three, I have seen "Evil Mind," and I liked it and Rains performance in it.

Pair Unknown World with The Day The Sky Exploded and you've got a cure for insomnia. By contrast, The Screaming Skull seems like a rollercoaster ride of a film.
