I watched this on the SciFi channel the other night.

A naked teenage boy covered in blood shows up at the Sheriff's station a year after a young lady has been brutally murdered. The Sheriff feels responsible for her death , because he found her alive and left her to look for the attacker, who then back tracks and kills her anyway. The girl's father also blames him.

The story really gets going when they determine the blood on the kid is from at least three different people and when they run his finger prints only to get back several different matches.

Overall, I thought this was pretty creepy little movie made interesting by the unraveling mystery of who the boy is and why he is there.  There's a  big surprise ending that will leave you smiling or scratching your head. I read some reviews over at IMDB and I am amazed at the people who didn't get what the boy was and what the ending meant.

It is an especially well made and good looking film considering it was shot for $100K and on 16mm film. I also give the film a nod for it's interesting use of fish hooks.

One spoiler for you to figure out, a bad seed appears in the movie who has evidently not changed her ways.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

I meant to watch this one on SciFi but I forgot it came on Saturday.  It's one that I've been looking forward to since first reading about it a few months back.

Any idea when they'll be showing it next?

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Usually they re-show the Saturday night movie the following Thursday, but I don't see it on their schedule.

I actually rented this one some time ago.  The main thing that caught my attention was that it had Stan Kirsch - he was on Highlander the Series.  I thought this movie was pretty good, for being made on such a small budget.

It was refreshing to see such a good little movie, with such an interesting premise.  I don't recall anything like it being done before.

There is actually some interesting "making of" stuff on the DVD.

Mofo Rising

I enjoyed this one quite a bit.  It's just another b-movie, of course, but well made and with some original ideas.

The first cut to town, in which a little more of the story is revealed, was quite the scene.

It's all the more impressive that this movie was made for $72,000.  I'm going to go ahead and give it my recommendation.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

Why does the killer has to be an alien or a mutant or some other s**t?

Why can't he just be a regular human?

Kinda missed the point there, didn't ya.

Another Stan fan!

Yes, the acting in this is quite serious, except for
Patty McCormick being in it (for those that have
seen 'The Bad Seed' you'll know what I'm talking
about). And Tim Murphy (the Viggo lookalike) and
the woman that played Laura were great as well.
