Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves with the extremely 'British' Kevin Costner had the Sherrif and his cohorts as Satanists.  Interestingly enough when I watched it as a kid when it first came out my mind seemed to have glossed over that whole Satanist sub-plot.  That tells you the power of the dark lord... :-P

I don't remember it that way. I do remember the Sheriff of Nottingham having a witch-mother that seems to have some minor powers, but not a cult, or other people apart from the Sheriff himslef consulting the witch.
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

The sherriff and the witch were not Satanists.  They were pagans done wrong.  There is a scene where the two of them are discussing how to deal with Robin Hood and she says to hire 'the beasts that share our god'.  His response is to mention the Celts, who did not exactly worship Satan as a group.....

Now here is a question.  Does adherence to an open religion qualify you membership in a secret society?

It seems like if you do secret things (like boil babies or eat hearts),it would qualify as secret. I wonder if Jimmy Swaggert eats babies?

Of course he does.  But he waits until they are legal at least.
