Hmmm, obviosly you don't read the blogs I do!  There are some truly creative people out there, especially in the writing.  I mean, to make an everyday event interesting to me is a creative act in itself, and of course you can talk about and post music and videos you like as well.  It has really allowed me to get into the heads of some people I know, and in a sense, almost get to know them more than when I do talk to them in person.  To me that is what's interesting about the few blogs that I seem to regularly find myself drawn to.  And they're certainly more interesting than just listing 'I like this and this and this,' which is pretty much what puts me off about most of what goes on at Myspace [though perhaps that's because I haven't come across one I like yet!]

Myspace makes it all easier of course, and it certainly does suffer from an image problem, but hey each to their own!  I'll give it another chance if you think it's worth it [I haven't had the time to look over yours yet Ash] so we'll see how we go!

I'm actually surprised that some of you have Myspace accounts.
I wasn't saying that I knew any of you would be against Myspace, but I definitely thought I might get a few negative reactions from this thread before I even sat down to type it.
(by the way ulthar, I was just messin' with you...lol!)

Believe me, I debated for a long time whether or not to create an account, but like Mofo said, there's a ton of people I know on there.
It is useful for keeping in touch with people you don't hear from too often.

And I do read blogs from time to time.
I've never been a good blog writer.
Here on this board, I can think up all kinds of weird and crazy stuff.
But for some reason, I get writer's block when thinking of what to write in my blog.

Stop...who said they were repulsed by it? I choose not to do one because it's not for me...simple. I have no problem with people doing it as many of my friends are on there.

Odinn,

Repulsed by the page itself or the fact that I succumbed to the myspace conglomerate pressure?

Oh...the page is fine...I just felt that I had pressure placed upon me to be repulsed by the use of Myspace and the fact that you caved, gave me a great reason to be repulsed.

I just recently got a page there. Not had the time to jazz it up yet. My reason was so I could have a blog, also access to the music. Another goal is to communicate with younger people about music. That is the problem with the radio industry. We are ignoring and turning the young audience away. They are the future. If we don't serve their needs and taste we have nothing.

It's a better alternative to my state's radio message board, which has been taken over by disgruntled former co-workers and right wing nuts who basically copy and paste articles from Fox News.

I got your invite Ozzy...along with Skaboi's and Mofo's.

More of you guys need to make pages.
I'm getting addicted to this Myspace s**t!

Ash,

Yeah, I'm quite surprised at how much I like Myspace as well.  Before using it, I thought it was an ignorant fad but after using it, and seeing how much customization can be done...well I think it's pretty neat.  I've also been amazed at how many people have asked for invites to join my friends.  These are people that I haven't seen in YEARS.  Really fun.

Also, it's great that I actually get to have Choking Victim playing on my page.  Awesome.
