Bad Taste (1988) - Peter Jackson fights himself in this goof gore-fest. I can't think of anything to say about this film that probably hasn't been said.

You know Derek is still out there, maybe Jackson could make sequel with Derek taking on the alien fast food franchise.

Scream Bloody Murder (1973) - Little Matthew runs over Daddy with a bulldozer, then jumps off and somehow runs over his own hand. Little Matthew then gets to grow up in the mental hospital.

Grown up Matthew returns home (with a hook for hand) to find Mommy remarried, but Matthew doesn't like his step-dad touching Mommy, so he gives him the axe (literally). When Mommy sees what Matthew did she is understandibly upset so she and Matthew struggle and she hits her head on a rock and dies.

Matthew runs away from home and catches a ride with a recently eloped young couple. Everthing is fine until they decide to take a wade in a creek. The young couple start hugging and kissing, then well...you know Matthew has a hang up about that "touching", so he takes a rock to the husband's head and then strangles the wife (he has delusions of Mommy).

When he gets to the city, he meets a friendly prostitute who is also an aspiring painter. He becomes obsessed with her and kills one of her johns with one of her painting tools (a little trowel). He insists on calling her Daisy (his mother's name) even though her name is Vera (actually the same actress plays both parts).

He then concocts a story about being rich and that if she will come live with him, he will give her everything.  He goes so far as picking a mansion belonging to a sick old lady then killing her, the maid, and the dog. He then gets Vera to the house, and leaves her tied up while he goes out mugs people for money to feed them and buy Vera art supplies.

This movie should've been called Mommy's Boy or something. And what's with the unused hook for a hand.  He uses an axe, a painter's trowel, a rock, strangulation using his good hand, a meat cleaver, and a pillow. The hook is not used until the last five minutes of the film.

The movie is quite gory for the time which it was made . It's not a terrible film, but most of the murders actually take place in the first 40 minutes after that there's not a lot of tension.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Ugh ...

I had seen Scream Bloody Murder long, long ago and had managed to supress it.  Now that it's all come flooding back, I find myself wanting to see it.
Kneel before Dr. Hell, the ruler of this world!
