THE ROGUES TAVERN (1936) - This "dark house" murder mystery film has some fun one-liners. A group of different people end up staying the night at hotel on a stormy night. While there some of the guest get murdered by a wolf head that comes out from behind doors and goes for the throat. The film is filled is small humorous moments like many of these type films. These "dark house" films were a good vehicle for Abbott and Costello in films like HOLD THAT GHOST (1941). THE ROGUES TAVERN (1936) is part of my TALES OF TERROR 50 pack. My copy has a flaw in it and right at the very end the DVD misses the most pivital part of the movie that reveals who committed the murders. Perhaps Burgomaster found this to be true on his copy? Have you seen it yet Burgo?
