Considering how much time I spend reading your crap (Keep it up....) I am curious - Who is who in the photo of the B-Masters @ Superdawg? Is that you in the cap, Andrew?

When is B-Fest coming Down-Under? Sounds like a hoot..... Any other Antipodeans know of any B-Movie festivals anywhere in Australia?

Andrew

Yes, I am the man in the "Badmovies.org" cap (a gift from a friend).  Guess that I should have put that in.  From left to right, here we are:

Back Row:  Joe Bannerman, Andrew Borntreger, Chris Holland
Middle Row:  Chris Magyar, Dr. Freex, Scott Hamilton
Front Row:  Ken Begg, Apostic

Sorry to be of little assistance with b-movie festivals down under.  I've heard of one in New Zealand, but dislike the organizers (they have a nasty habit of copying the reviews from bad movie sites, including mine, and using them without permission).

I wonder if I can get Freex to splice in pictures of those of us who couldn't attend...

Nathan

Andrew

I don't know if he is up to splicing both yourself and Jesus into the picture...

While on the subject of Superdawg, I'd be interested in knowing what everyone in the picture thinks of the place.

My girlfriend and I grabbed some lunch there on the 25th, a few hours before we went to B-Fest. I have to say that the food was fantastic, but the service was something else entirely. Everything about the decor, the menus, the napkins was so friendly and cheerful. Then we went to the front counter and were greeted by this scowling woman. "What do you want? Hurry up, I haven't got all day." I ordered quickly, but Lori made the mistake of thinking about it for a second, and got chewed out for it. We still laugh about that. The food was great though, and it was worth eating there just to see the place.

Andrew

I've never had a problem with any rude employees there, even when they were busy.  Of course, there is a bad apple in every basket - you just lucked out and visited on her shift.

It was a pleasure briefly meeting you at B-Fest as well.  Still cannot figure it; the big, imposing guys are always so easy going and polite...

Big, imposing guys can afford to be easy going.  We don't get messed with as much as the little guys - you might want to remember that when you confront a midget.

Nathan, have you ever attended a b-fest?  It's nice to put a face to a name and I don't think I've seen you in any of the b-fest photo galleries.

Note: I haven't attended a b-fest yet and it's only a couple hours drive from my house - and I got laid off from work just before this years b-fest.  My excuse?  A pathological fear of paper plates - flying or otherwise.  Yeah, that's it.

Dr. Freex

Then there's the whole matter of prying a photo of herself out of Lyz's grip. (Superdawg doesn't serve vegemite, anyway)

I found the service at Superdawg a bit brusque, but it was also five kinds of busy when we were there.  GREAT food (unlike Andrew, I will not order anything that claims to be Tex-Mex north of Oklahoma).

No, I haven't managed it yet.  I live in Utah (strike one), and I've got a wife and three kids on a single income (strikes many).  I haven't yet been able to scrape together enough spare cash all at once to make it.

If you search through my web empire reeeeeeeally diligently, you'll find a single photo of my face, but I disclaim it because it was taken at about five AM after having helped my wife deliver our youngest overnight.

It was good to meet you too. Of all the people I knew would be there, you were about the easiest to spot. Wish I could have gotten to know everyone a little better, but I didn't want to intrude. Also, I had a girlfriend suffering a combination of a cold and an abundance of cold medication. Didn't want to leave her too long. She had fun though.

Humungous has a good point: big, imposing guys don't usually have to take much crap, so we are easy going, for the most part. I'm usually pretty glad when people judge on appearance. Saves me a lot of trouble, since I'm really a big softie at heart.
