After watching quite a few b-movies i have devised a theory and i wanted to share it with everyone and get some opinions.

Here is the theory.
When being chased by anyone be it cop, monster, whatever if you hide in a ditch your almost never found. I can not recall one movie i have seen where someone hides in a ditch and gets found. So please reply and let me know and if anyone else has had this theory on here before im sorry its not stolen just something i happened upon in my film watching.

You actually seem to have a point. Here's a corollary to go along with it. Have you even noticed how every time people are sneaking through a building and guards approach they press up against a corner,  alcove, doorway or something and the guards never happen to look in their direction?

Ah, yes....the old "Inconsistant Periferal Vision", as i calls it. I think Joel and the bots noticed this in "Secret agent super dragon", or some such Bond ripoff.

If a pursued person happens to trip and fall into a hole, bog, lake, mass grave, etc., while still out of view of his pursuer, he will not be found, even though the pursuer will invariably stand right over him and look around.

Dan "Grizzly Adams" Hagardy suffered from a massive case of Inconsistant Periferal Vision in Elves. Actually, his case was acute enough to be Inconsistant Direct Vision since he was practically looking at the elf and not seeing it.

Funny thing is I've actually had that happen to me. I was being chases by my brother in a forest and I accidentally fell into a little gorge and lost him that way! Go figure.
