Is there any truth in the rumour that this is a documentary filmed behing enemy lines in an undisclosed South American conflict? It may look glossy like a Holywood film but it is filmed in real time with real people.

"The Creature" by the bloke that wrote "Jaws" (Peter Blentchly?) is a true story too I've been told.

Frank N. Stein

yes

arnold schwarzenegger and jesse ventura are actually commando's in real life. whenever there's trouble, these two will jump to the rescue with their merry band of comrads.

Actually, Peret Benencheletely's Great White is based on a true story. The half-man half-shark mutant hybrid wasn't actually killed, though, instead he works at a gas station in Middleton, Florida, where he earned "Employee of the Month" for six straight months. He has a wife, three kids, and a guppy named Suzette.

The US government is going to have to keep a closer eye on the hybrid species it creates in order to win international conflicts. God knows what would happen if any of the mutant flying pirhana that were devised to beat the Viet Cong ever escaped into the beautiful warm waters around a tropical holiday island - one hates to think.

Jay O'Connor

The government would just send "Solo" down to kill the piranha,

but "Solo" would get eaten by the sharks from "Deep Blue Sea"

I worry the Gummint might think flesh eating unicelluler orginisims were a neat research project to put in a space probe. Could inadvertantly land in a resort town or somein'. I don't wanna live in Antarctica!

Bruce

Antarctica is bad enough what with the cold and the stinking penguins but bloody Kurt Russell lives there too - and he's got a beard!!

There is someTHING very odd about the whole place.

I didn't realise that Alaska was so homoerotic.........that's nothing like Northern Exposure!!

The "Great White" employee of the week guy, I mean.  Dumb joke, ruined by lack of clarity.  Cull-boy needs help.

(Premature posting zapped me AGAIN!)

Actually, Benchley's The Beast is supposed to be true. Apparently he witnessed a Giant Squid (they have been proven to exist) and that's what inspired his obsession with sea creatures.

AndyC

So only the giant squid part is true? Please tell me the self-righteous a***ole from the movie is only fictional.
