I went to drop off the proofs for the ads to run in our paper, and noticed the double feature on the Studio 35 Marquee.....E.T....and ALIENS. And i thought to myself, "Self, does that seem right to you?"  Gotta admit, mixing those two stories in a blender would bend some minds!  So, heres a question. What Double feature would you Least like to see? We're talking Critical Mass here, people. Like a two headed transplant with Richard Simmons on Arnold Schwartzenagers body, what two films should never be seen together? I'll sit back now, and listen to your replys. Hummmm...okey, i'll allow for mad experiments too. Blend what you will!

Future Blob

The Greatest Christmas Story Ever Told (or whatever it's called, the one with that kid who wants the BB gun) and Gremlins.

   The Bear and Prophecy

Any Van Damme Movie and any Segal movie

John Morgan

In a book I have similar to Jay Leno's Headlines, there is a movie marquee with three movies on it: The Fly, The Gods Must be Crazy, and Aliens.  However, they left off the movie ratings and the "the" on the second movie due to space.  The Board read:

"The Fly Gods Must Be Crazy Aliens"

It's A Christmas Story that you speak of. The fact that you don't know the title of this classic makes me wish illness upon you...AND SCUT FARKUS WILL BEAT YOU UP!!

Hmm...along the same themes...
A Nightmare Before Christmas and Silent Night, Deadly Night.

Or, maby LORD OF THE FLIES with REVENGE OF THE NERDS?

I've seen that happen with movie marquees too.  Probably the most famous example would be "Erin Brockovich Screwed My Dog Skip".  Also, many years ago my parents saw one that read "Alien Meatballs Escape from Alcatraz".

Some that spring to mind are:

Friday the 13th and Ernest Goes to Camp

Trilogy of Terror and Toy Story

Night of the Lepus and Watership Down

Another double bill that might be interesting is the 1958 Blob and the 1988 Blob, with a Barbapapa cartoon in between.

OOO Watership Down and Night of the Lepus! You are my GOD! (temporarily, and void upon my adoption of a new deity. This new status does not legally grant you any powers, abilities, favors or advantages except where noted applicable by law. Void where prohibited.)

Also, I liked Scut Farkus..he made me want to have yellow eyes, and his dad reminded me to watch Night Stalker...but I still hate the main kid...

Funk, E

For critical mass I'd say Bazil and Eraserhead, just to watch people explode in their seats.

For juxtaposition pain I'd say Winnie the Pooh and Caligula

For s**ts a giggles The Last Temptation of Christ and The Life of Brian
