I agree.  That's one reason my daughter, now 4, is learning to use saws, chisels, drills, etc.  It is my goal to have her dependent on no one.

But alas, she REALLY likes all those 'princess' movies.  Sadly, right now her favorite movie is AIR BUDDIES;  I have my sister to thank for that.  (It's okay, though, she actually talks about DINOSAURUS more often than AIR BUDDIES...)   :smile:

That sounds like my daughter. It didn't matter what she watched her real personality came out in the end.  :smile:

At first, the cover looked dorky, but after reading about the movie and seeing the rave reviews...well..heck...it looks too good to pass up and now I want to see it.

The little woman left out 3 of my favorites that we have on VHS,
Davy Crockett
Paul Bunyan
and my personal favorite, Old Yeller, possibly the best dog gone movie ever. (I couldn't resist, sorry)

Saw this movie in the theater with my dad when I was about 6 or so, everyone in the theater was in tears at the end.

I've got a quite a few animated Disney flicks on DVD, but if I had to single out a few favorites I'd go with:

Finding Nemo
Aladdin
Pocahontas (I actually saw this one three or four times in the theater when it came out).

Just one...ROBIN HOOD. 
Somehow I think there's a connection between my fascination with that one particular Disney cartoon and my irrational affection for the 'Sly Cooper' games.

Though I do also have THE GREAT LOCOMOTIVE CHASE...a live actioner from that period when Disney could actually make live action films that didn't all star Ken Berry or Tim Conway.  If it didn't have to do with the civil war, it wouldn't really be in my collection, frankly speaking.

Disney is realeasing all of those Studio Ghibli DVDs that I own, so I guess I can add those.  they aren't Disney movioes, but I appreciate the work.  the Disney dub on Porco Russo is pretty marvelous.

FANTASIA.Night on Bald Mountain,of course,is my favorite sequence.Theres a never ending debate among Lugosi fanatics about whether he did or didn't model for the Demon.I'm on the did side.

guess I should admit now I've been to several "Disney On Ice" events which I've enjoyed as well... :buggedout:  actually forgot to mention i loved Monster's Inc and Finding Nemo...

Personally, I've always liked The Fox and the Hound.  My girlfriend hates it because it's so depressing, but I've always liked it pretty much for that reason.  It isn't your typical Disney flick with everything falling right into place. 

Of course, I also enjoyed Toy Story and the Pirates movies.  Yes, even Dead Man's Chest...

When I was kid every Sunday we watched "The Wonderful World of Disney", they showed a lot of Disney's 50's movies like Shaggy Dog, Flubber, and Son of Flubber. 

My favorites Davy Crockett, Old Yeller, and Savage Sam. I had a lot of big brothers and wished I could throw rocks like that Arliss kid.



And you thought Trek isn't cool.
