Not sure but I don't like the idea of the Cannibal Holocaust remake. I really wouldn't doubt a LHOL remake. I heard awhile back it was in the works but later scraped. Unless you consider Chaos a Last House remake. I imagine they'll hit most of the bigger titles like Poltergeist,  Rosemary's Baby etc.

Personally, I hate remakes. I didn't mind the Hills Have Eyes remake or the Dawn of the Dead but I still prefer the originals.

Him

There are alot of movies I'd like to see remade.

Flash Gordon
Battle Beyond the Stars
Starcrash
Galaxina
The Last Starfighter
The Black Hole
Silent Running
Plan 9 from Outer Space

Raffine

I've heard rumors of remakes of:
The Creature from the Black Lagoon  :hatred:
The Day the Earth Stood Still  :hatred:
Fahrenheit 451
eh. As long as they reuse Bernard Herrmann's score.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

BeyondTheGrave

I'm actually suprised they don't have a Return of the Living Dead remake. I know they will screw it up beyond belief by making PG-13 or something but it is cult movies they have been picking on. "Warriors" is other.

Why don't we start a campaign to get Kickboxer and Bloodsport remade?

I wonder if "The Apple" could be remade well...  Or maybe "The Bronx Executioner."

quabrot

Apparently, Motel Hell is due out this fall/winter.

Doc Daneeka

How about Citizen Kane, Casablanca or The Godfather? :teddyr:

Hmm, The Last Mimzy comes to theatres soon, how about remaking that?

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

I recall John Landis trying to get a deal going back in the 80's about re-making Blackie....never came to pass.
PLAN 9?!?! NO! It's PERFECT the way it is!!! "STOOPID!STOOPID!STOOPID!"
RETURN of the LIVING DEAD would probally end up using music from lame s0-called "punk" bands like Green Day,(bleech!) or  even worse Rap music (shudder)...
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

i really dont mind the remakes i liked hills have eyes, texas chainsaw and DOTD. I am a huge fan of the wolfman and creature from the black lagoon and im am very curious to see how they turn out. benicio del toro is playing the wolfman so im not so concerned because hes a great actor and actually resembles chaney to a point (IMO). As for creature from the black lagoon i havent heard diddly except for a script review i had read over at aintitcoolnews.com. As to how they obtained it idk, but it didnt say much about the plot or any details except that it sucked. now until I read the script or see the movie and make the judgement for myself im not gonna get on its case. i can see how it would turn people off by reading it if they dont have an open mind or are controlled by these people who review these items(or movies for that matter) like they are some kind of religious entity that besiges their opinion on these people and that means it automatically sucks just because they said so. so as an after thought i dig remakes, but if you feed me s**t like the hitcher, well thats when people start to die.

The only remakes I like come from well before the "remake everything" era, stuff like The Fly, The Thing, the Blob, etc.  The only newer one I like is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the one with Jennifer Beals).

I wouldn't mind if they remade stuff like The Green Slime.  Cheesy acting and CGI everything would be too hilarious.  But of course they'd never do that.  They'd probably make it into an intentional comedy that wasn't funny at all.

I agree with Mr. Briggs, they should remake the Godfather and put Adam Sandler in the starring role.  Citizen Cane with Oprah in the lead.  Casablanca with Ellen Degeneres and Rosie O'Donnel in a hip hop club.   They should have movie company executives come on screen after the movie and laugh.  And laugh.  And laugh some more.
The world is changed by your example, not by your opinion.

 :buggedout:

I really don't like remakes of anything or reimagining as they call it.

I heard that they were going to remake several SA films, including The Gods Must Be Crazy:question:

I will now use South African slang mixed with Afrikaans:

"Ag nee, man, dis sommer 'n kak idee!"  :hatred:

If you want to know the meaning of what I just typed above, PM me and I will translate.

GORGO RETURNS! - "The little one grew up...WAY up!"
THE GIANT CLAW - "A Bird. A bird as big as a supertanker!"
REPTILICUS - " Death comes...from a little piece of tail".
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

Quoteincluding The Gods Must Be Crazy.

Starring Will Ferrell and featuring Chris Rock as the bushman, no doubt.
