Predator 2 was a good movie

I was reading a bunch of responses and it seems that there is an anti predator 2 sentiment here. The question is why??? It wasnt nearly as good as the first, one, but oit had a better predator, totally explored their history and it had bill paxton!!! probably one of the coolest bad guys ever!!! screw aliens vs. predator, i want to see Jason vs. Predator, how about you guys? Who disagrees?? Lastly, does anybody want a Species 3 and if you do, is it possible to make it sillier than the first two??

Well, I didn't think SPECIES was that bad.  SPECIES 2 on the other hand. . .

PREDATOR 2 is a decent movie.  It's not  a great movie, but I wouldn't go around bashing it.  It's not nearly the movie as the first, but I think PREDATOR is one of the greatest pure action movies of all time.

But PREDATOR 2 has a good story to it.  I like the city/jungle theme, and the fact that the government was well aware of the Predators visiting our planet.  Nicely played out.  For an interesting sidetrip, read the original Dark Horse comic series.  It's very similar to the second movie, except the main character is Dutch's brother.

Austin Powers vs Predator, that would be a cool movie. It should begin with Austin being slaughtered alive by the Predator. Then Mini Me and Basil or what the f... his name is.

I liked Predator 2.  I'll maintain that the creature from the first film could defeat the second one, which I believe was supposed to be younger and less experienced.

The main problem with the 2nd movie is that the killings seem more or less random.  The Predator isn't picking its victims based upon their strength, it appears to be taking just whoever is available.

I agree that the first one was better, but the second one rounded the Prewdator out more and showed it hunting instead of shooting from a distance (which likely ties into the idea that it's less experienced as Akira said, with which I also agree. The shot of the Predator being struck by lightning on the skyscraper was pretty good.

The girl in Species is my Second Cousin Once removed. I've never seen any of the species movies tho.

I liked Predator II, but I never understood why it was supposed to be set in the future instead of the present. Except for a couple of gadgets, the story didn't have anything futuristic about it.

I liked the 2nd one as well.  I don't think either John McTiernan or Stephen Hopkins gave any consideration as of to the age of the predators when making these films as long as the human defeated the main character(the Predator) at the end.  Note:  Alien & Aliens follow the exact same formula!  Go figure!
