First look at Iron Man's Mark I armor

Well, it looks they got this part right.

That looks very retro mech, almost like a bit of Jules Verne science fiction.  I have not read many comic books myself, so my usual criteria for any movies based on them is that the film keep my interest.

It is Iron Man's first suit of armor (which he builds while a prisoner). It looks very much like the one from the comics.

Yeah, it does look like his very first suit.  Let's hope, for our sakes, that how he made it doesn't stray too far from the actual comic.  I have the animated version that came out recently, I thought that when I heard that they were going to make an Iron Man movie that this was it .

yeah, nothing worse then when they change things too much.

What's that thing on the side of his arm, is that supposed to be some sort of gun type thing, I know his first armour was really bulky but I don't remember it having anything like that.
