Here is another dismal movie that you can find in one of Mill Creek's 50 movie packs (this one happens to be in the SUSPENSE CLASSICS 50 MOVIE PACK).

A forest ranger tells two guys on a camping trip that they should be careful because many people have disappeared in the forest and their bodies have never been found.  Unfortunately, the guys' wives started the camping trip earlier than their husbands and have already gone into the forest.

Before long, they encounter a cannibalistic hermit (who reminded me of George Lucas) living in a cave.  There are also two ghostly kids and a ghostly woman (their voices echo when they talk) lurking around.  One of the female campers has a conversation with the kids, asks them if they are dead, they say "yes," and she keeps right on talking to them as if this were a normal event.

A few times during the movie, you get to hear some really dumb songs on the soundtrack.  These songs have lyrics that go something like this:  "Don't go in the forest . . . beware of the dark side of the forest . . . you will pay the price . . . yadda-yadda-yadda . . . "  Trust me.  If you watch this movie, you WILL pay the price.  It is monumentally stupid and is neither scary nor suspenseful.  And the acting is pitiful.

This is a genuine, 100% certified, USDA Grade Z BAD MOVIE.

I have been thinking about picking this one up.  Well, I guess that I need to watch a "skull" rated film now and then to.  Just to remind myself what true pain really is.

I am knee-deep in this film for the latest review over at the Graveyard. It's pretty bad all right.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I just got it and am currently watching it. Not too bad , but not too good. I really enjoyed the main theme.  The cover art on the dvd is really good too. On the DVD there are trailers for other movies to be released by the company. Does anyone know ehn Beyond the Door will be released?

Evan:

My copy of THE FOREST is in a Mill Creek 50 movie pack, so, unfortunately, I can't enfoy the cover art.

BEYOND THE DOOR is one of the movies that I will definitely buy on DVD.  It is on my "why the hell hasn't this been released yet?" list.  Not sure of when it will be released, though.
