You know, that might be it...I think that may have been what I saw...not 100% positive, but if there was a scene where that little thing was tossing breakable items at a guy from inside a cupboard, and giggling with delight, then that's probably it.

I'm not sure it ever actually moved although I do recall it terrorizing its owner in one scene that may have been in a cupboard (I'm not certain, I have to dig it out and give it the once over to let you know for sure). I think it was just implied. By stabbing it in the story in a special Voodoo style ritual, everyone in a photo starts dying in mysterious ways and Charlie Boy is usually found somewhere in the area.

Here's a pic from Chadzilla's Scifilm TV File article:

I heartily recommend the Hammer House of Horror series to Horror fans. Only "Growing Pains" is terrible. The rest is good to great IMO.

O.K. I checked it. Charlie Boy never actually moves nor makes any sound so I don't think it's what you have in mind.  It's more like an item that's out to do its victims in like an avenging angel of death.

Maybe this mystery creature is from an episond of Monsters or Tales From The Darkside? Possibly even the 80s Twilight Zone?

I've been looking through Tales from the Darkside on Youtube...so far nothing's ringing any bells.

Are you sure it's definitely not the Zuni Fetish Doll? There was also Trilogy of Terror II.  ATTACK OF THE BEAST CREATURES (1985) it is said has zombies who apparently resemble the Zuni Fetish Doll too. Pretty sure Chucky also threw dishes at someone. Cannot remember if it was after he was disfigured or not?

Hmmmmm...there definitely seems to be a resemblance to what I saw when I watched a clip from ATTACK OF THE BEAST CREATURES on Youtube.  Perhaps that's what I saw.

JaseSF

I really want to see that one myself. Sounds pretty cool.

By Jove, I think you got it!  Seven and a half minutes into the film, there is a scene that exactly matches the description.

Marco pulled off one of the best movie solvings ever on this board.

Months of suggestions and debating, all ended in an instant by...
"Easy. Its the first killing scene in the movie "tourist trap"

And just like that...it's solved.
Awesome!

Dude gets some karma for that!
