They don't make em like they used to. I've argued that the one thing that is missing is a jingle. Now commercial makers are trying to make a resume by making their ads look like minature movies. Booooring - and nobody ever remembers the product.

We all...decades later, can sing the bologne song, the tootsie roll song, i'd like to buy the world a coke, plop plop fizz fizz....heck I can even remember the jingle for the dallas times herald. I think that they need to go retro, suck it up and just get a jingle.

Sometimes you find a gem in the rough, and everytime i caught this on tv i smiled

Anyone have any favorite commercials or jingles?

I watch hardly any TV.   I can't stand most commercials.   :teddyr:

THAT is more likely to give me nightmares than any bloodbath horror film. Yikes. :buggedout:

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Speaking of such, this one website X-Entertainment (no, it's not a porn) has several downloadable 80s commercials.  My personal favorite is for the Bonkers candy.  This was a brand of chewable candy, in the commercials everytime someone would bite into one a GIANT piece of fruit would fall from the sky and hit them in the head.  Despite the fact the fruit could break through ceilings, the people who got hit were never seriously injured.

Probably the most disturbing commercial they have though is for Underoos Fashion Underwear.  This was a line of colorful underwear for young girls.  I don't know, something abouta  commercial with preteens dancing up and down a modeling aisle in just their underclothes feels just plain wrong to me.

Here's the boys version...

They've also got commercials for the clapper, Castle Greyskull, New Kids On the Block dolls, even the commercial with Stephen King whoring himself out for Mastercard!

That idiot annoys me.  If I see him on the street, I will smack in the mouth and tell him to man up.

I predict a "B" movie, or at least a TV series for the people who made this.
