Demonic Possession/Pizza Cutter?

I didn't see this movie but my mom swears she did. She can't remember the details too well but thinks the character in question was like possessed or maybe a zombie? Anyway, she was a young girl who came down some stairs running a pizza cutter down the bannister. Mom says she saw the movie in the late 70's/early 80's and thats all she can remember. Its been bugging her for years, so is she crazy or was this a scene in a real movie? Thanks in advance for any help as you can maybe put her mind at rest finally!

When I was a kid in the early 80's, I remember two of my female neighbor friends telling me about how they got freaked out by a movie where a girl is going either up or down the stairs with a pizza cutter.
They told me it was a movie titled, "The Babysitter".
