There there Fishy, there there. I picked up a copy of Jaws the Revenge for my fiancee not long ago, so I can share your pain. Fortunately the copy I bought was a $5 ex-rental, so I didn't feel so bad. Plus, I can always watch the glorious, roaring shark impalement finale and at least get a good laugh out of it now and then.  :teddyr:

I feel better then.  I bought mine as part of a 7 for $10 special.  Heh.

Got a cool surprise in the mail today: Frankenstein Conquers the World. I had forgotten that I had pre-ordered it months ago.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Blockbuster's running a "Buy 2 Used DVDs, Get 2 Used DVDs Free" offer right now, so I immediately picked up...

"Don't make me stain my last clean shirt with the back of your head." - Shatter Dead
"A grizzly bear with a chainsaw. Now THERE's a killing machine!" - The Simpsons
"I've always wanted to make love to an angry welder." - Jaws: the Revenge

Just recieved a order containing. .

Curse of the Devil.  (Which looks to be the best movie of the lot.)

A "Grindhouse Double Shock Show" DVD featuring The Day Time Ended and The Doomsday Machine.

Galaxy of Terror.  Sadly it's a Brentwood multi-movie pack NOT the Corman classic.  The movies on the set included: The Donosaur Chronicles, Prelien: Alien Predators, The Weapon, and Blood Red Planet.  I've glanced at them and words utterly fail me.*

Chained Heat 2.

I also ordered 'Star Crash' but, for the third order in a row, it went unfulfilled; despite it being listed on their site AND their most recent print catalogs.   Thus I am stuck with yet another credit for a company I am slowly beginning to lose patience with.

(*) Who the Holy *#@$ are the Polonia Bros and how did they get Brentwood to release their not even Cable access quality home 'movies'?

I think "Polonias" is ancient Etruscan for "Brentwood"... you may have uncovered a massive crap movie conspiracy here Kester! I think it's about time we formed a "Kill the Polonias Brothers and Erase All Memory of Their Existence From the Earth" fund so that their endless string of nightmares finally gets severed... along with their Achilles Tendons.

Where did you order "Starcrash" from that keeps on frustrating you?  Just wondering which retailer it is.  That is a film that I recommend for every bad movie fan and I would rather than point someone in the wrong direction.

Ah, the Polonia Brothers.  Aren't they the ones who torture Nathan (from Cold Fusion Video) at regular intervals?

Are you suggesting that amateur filmmakers using a cheap camcorder to shoot their friends using props from a 99 cent store (garden gloves, faux BMX mask, etc) and costumes that look like they were rejected by a Goodwill is offensive?

Why, sir, that's just evidence of the filmmakers boldly derring attempts to achieve minimalism in a cinematic medium while speaking to the transient nature of mass market materialism!

Actually, I quite like watching or hearing about someone else experiencing a really awful film.  Of course, I find that seeing someone encountering a swarm of angry wasps is pretty funny.  Just so long as they do not run toward me for help...

You say that now but if we were to regaile you with what we had to endure while watching "movies" like Blood Slaves of the Vampire Wolf, Dawn of the Dinosaur, or Tarzun and the Valey of Lust you might sing a different tune.

Holy crap! It's that old white ninja guy with the moustache who tormented me through the now-classic Ghost Ninja! Calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean....
