Check out "Punishment" by the band Biohazard for some good, deep, and meaningful questioning time between Dolph Lundgren and his maker.

Poor Dolph.....he was once He-Man.  Yup....Ivan Drago, too.

"Weird Al"'s "Nature Trail To Hell" on his In 3-D album is a tribute to f13-type slashers. Oh, and if you play it backwards you'll hear "Satan Eats Cheez Whiz".

Bad movie quotes have long been a mainstay of some of the more noise-oriented experimental bands.

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult uses bad movie quotes extensively.  They seem to be fond of AMITYVILLE 3-D.  ("Reality is the only word in the English language that should always be used in quotes.")

I know there's a quote from Full Moon's THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM on Ministry's track "Psalm 69".  ("Liar!  Blasphemer!")

One of the tracks on U.N.K.L.E.'s "Psyence Fiction" has the quote, "Maybe I can help you."  Imagine my surprise when I heard the same quote with the exact cadence while watching the "Star Wars Christmas Special".  Who spoke it?  An animated Boba Fett!  (Another track on the same album uses a JACOB'S LADDER quote.)

Then of course, there's the Revolting Cock's "Beers, Steers and Queers", which quotes extensively from the "pig" scene from DELIVERANCE.  Sounds terrible on paper, but it's hilarious when put into practice.  ("Drop yer goddamn britches.")

Most of these I discover by listening to the music and by chance discovering the quotes's origins while watching a movie.  Always an interesting surprise.

Frank Zappa did an excellent tribute to bad movies in his song, "Cheepnis," which opens with a detailed description of a scene from It Conquered the World, and goes on to salute such sights as "The strings on the rubber spider/The zipper from the Black Lagoon."

I found an interesting little CD called "Stock Footage: Music from the Films of Roger Corman." Rather than being a selection of score clips, the album is a collection of different artists saluting the man (all the songs are either adaptations of background music from or original songs about his films). The only artists I recognized are Man or Astroman (doing a surf-rock version of the theme from, coincidentally, It Conquered the World) and Johnny Legend and Zacherle (with a rockabilly salute to Teenage Caveman). Other highlights are a spooky spoken-jazz version of the poem from A Bucket of Blood and a TMBG-esque song in which all the lyrics are random quotes from Fall of the House of Usher.

Don't forget "Godzilla" by Blue Oyster Cult

"Oh...no.
There goes Tokyo
Go, Go, Godzilla!

Oh....no
They say he's got to go
Go, Go, Godzilla!"

I love BOC! And I don't care if it camer out 20-some-odd years prior to The Frighteners, Don't Fear The Reaper describes it exactly. Ska/Punk bands like The O.C. Supertones, VooDoo Glow Skulls and others throw tons of quotes from sci-fi films into songs.

For some reason, I think "Take The Money And Run" from Steve Miller would make a good plot/storyline for a movie

Also, "Children Of The Sun" by Billy Thorpe would be pretty good for a sci-fi film

However "Scenes From A Memory", the entire Dream Theater CD, would, I think, make a great movie

How could I forget?  Fantomas recently released a CD entitled "The Director's Cut", in which they cover many themes from movies, mostly old horror movies.  Here's a list:

THE GODFATHER
DER GOLEM
EXPERIMENT IN TERROR
ONE STEP BEYOND
NIGHT OF THE HUNTER (REMIX)
CAPE FEAR
ROSEMARY'S BABY
THE DEVIL RIDES OUT (REMIX)
SPIDER BABY
THE OMEN (AVE SATANI)
HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER
VENDETTA
INVESIGATION OF A CITIZEN ABOVE SUSPICION
TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME
CHARADE

Fantomas is one of the many projects of insane frontman Mike Patton.  The stuff is pretty strange, so I wouldn't recommend anybody running out and buying it without first giving it a listen.  I don't know how to describe it.  Insane metal music?
