Funny or Just Lame?

Bizarro's been having a bad run lately, with "gags" about terrorism, a dental patient asking about "wireless technology" for braces (which already exists), and one strip putting a (mild) obscenity in the daily funny pages. But this one...I can't decide. Funny? Stupid? What do you think?

I vote lame.  Too many variables.  Is the reporter an idiot?  Is the Godzilla actually a guy in a suit?  Does Cullen put WAY too much thought in the comics he reads?  That sort of thing.
