Oscar the cat predicts patients' deaths

That's pretty doggone weird!  I like cats, but . . .

Yeah its even more eerie for me.  I actually live in RI and work in the same (ish) field as this cat.  I sometimes go to meetings in a few establishments near this nursing home.  I could very well meet this cat but as you said Raj, I'm not exactly sure if that would be a good thing if he curled up next to me.  We were all joking about it at work today.  He is a cute little fellow though.

This story is making alot of the boards. When I first read it, I thought it was as spooky as hell. But, on second thought, the story makes some sense. Because animals are sensitive to some things that mankind is not. For example, when my grandmother, on my mother's side, died,  the exact moment she died, the old hound dog that they had, started howling in the yard of the old farmhouse, where she died. I guess it was just his way of saying good-bye.

I've heard random odd stories of animals sensing things when humans can't.  For example, this one woman told me when she was pregnant, her cat didn't move within 1 foot of her one evening and sure enough, she went into labor the next morning.  She said it was odd behavior for the cat who was usually was in his own world. 

I guess from my own experience, my cats pretty much meow for no apparent reason. However I will say my son will do stuff to the cats which would normally garnish a swat or bite if I did it to them.  They seem to know not to mess with the baby.   Maybe animals are like humans, some have talents, other don't.

Now you want spooky ... it is not a joke.

I know this lady who's husband died and before he died he kept calling for his dog and reaching down for the dog but he was in the hospital and the dog was at home. Well the people at the house said the dog was looking around for the man who was passing and whimpering and then about a hour or so after the dogs owner died the dog got into the chair where his later owner sat, and after a few hours the hadn't moved and one of the folks in the house went to comfort the dog as it hadn't moved or done anything, but it was dead. I'd heard the same story from a number of people who were there so I tend to believe it was true, talk about weird. I've heard of pets dying a few weeks or months after the owner died but not with a couple of hours or so, seemingly in good health, just spooky.
