I think I had heard that...I really admire some of TODD RUNDGREN's work, but THE NEW CARS... 
THE CARS without Ric Ocasek is like THE STOOGES without IGGY...

That's what I'm saying.   

They're also performaing some Rundgren stuff on tour but they released a CD with Rundgren doing vocals on some Cars classics.

I haven't heard that New Cars CD but it seems to be all live.  I think it's still kind of pointless though.

I've been thinking about getting that fairly recent Essential Todd Rundgren 2 CD set that is supposed to be pretty comprehensive.
