That's right... lionsgate finally got smart and started to release horror movies that they've had way to long... I'm sure you've all went a bought your double disc collector's edition of Monster Squad by now because it seems the lionsgate people are also releasing in September/October

From Beyond: Collector's Edition
Return of the Living Dead: Collector's Edition
Alligator
Dr. Giggles

I am totally getting the Monster Squad dvd.

Also, the Return of the Living Dead.
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell."

Don't get too close, it's dark inside.

Still no Willard/Ben though! Get a Special Edition out while Ernest is still around!

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

Dr. Giggles?  About f***ing time!

Now, the matters on Return to Sleepaway Camp and Legend of Dinosaurs...  Those are both supposed to see DVD releases from what I heard.

I dunno if I'll pick up that Return Of The Living Dead disc.  Apparently Dan O'Bannon has completely done away with any ties to the new release.  It's supposed to be BAD.  I'll have to wait and see what the buzz is when it's released.  I'm still happy with my MGM dvd of the film.

From Beyond is one I need to pick up.  I remember disliking the film when first seeing it on VHS, but I would like to give it another change.  Dr. Giggles is a guilty pleasure of mine and I can't wait to get a DVD copy of that one.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

They're releasing Return of the Living Dead again?  It doesn't seem like the glow in the dark cover version was released that long ago.  What could be different?

I thought Willard was out, but just as a basic dvd, no features?

I haven't seen Ben on dvd though.

The uncut release is still on schedule for Sept. 11.  It'll be nice to replace my boot finally.

How about "Food of the Gods" also coming out on DVD in early September. Can`t wait for that one. I forgot that Bert I. Gordon was the director of this little masterpiece.   Alligator is also an old time favorite of mine that will be great to have on DVD. Hope we see more "great" titles like these in the future.

One that I'm looking forward to (aside from all others mentioned here) is the Japanese film Horrors of Malformed Men. Apparently the negative reaction to this film when it was released in 1969 was so strong, many thought it would never get a legit DVD release.

My "must have" list for the next couple of months:

Alligator
The Burning
From Beyond
Snake Woman's Curse
Food of the Gods (I saw this in the theater and was freaked out)
The Roger Corman Collection
Twisted Terror Collection (inlcudes Deadly Friend, Dr. Giggles, Eyes of a Stranger, From Beyond the Grave, The Hand and Someone's Watching Me ).
The Lost World (1960) will also include the 1925 silent version, BW.
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
The Fly Collection
Devils Of Darkness / Witchcraft
Gorilla at Large & Mystery on Monster Island
Tales From the Crypt & Vault of Horror
The House on Skull Mountain / The Mephisto Waltz
Chosen Survivors / The Earth Dies Screaming

I'm sure there is more than I am forgetting. I'm going to be working overtime for days to pay for all that.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Allow me to second that sentiment.

As it is, it took the better part of 10 years just to get a hold of a decent version of Rick Wakeman's score!
