My god i loved this movie when i was a kid. i rented it again recently and a lot of the plot just seemed kinda silly and exploitational. but i could see why a 10 year old would get into it with all the bloody action scenes and martial arts. have you ever seen THE STREET FIGHTER, or any of the LONE WOLF AND CUB (Japan), films those are really cool. LONE WOLF is a Japanese series and is based off a comic book. ZATOICHI is another kick ass series from Japan, (there's something like over 20 films in the series).

This movie was produced following the hype of american ninja and the marcial arts boom of the 80's,  the starring actor (Leonardo Daniel) is a soap opera actor who never did again any action role in his career (you can imagine why). Better than this is a movie from a pair of brothers who are a living legend in the mexican cinema, the Almada Brothers, who appear in the movie "Puerto Maldito" (Cursed harbor) they fight against the Triadas.  They made hundreds of action movies and even horror films, let me find if they are available in DVD in the states and then point you in the right direction...
