If venom-filled rattlesnakes cannot defeat squirrels (Spermophilus beecheyi), what possible hope is there for the rest of us?

I sure do miss Odinn7.  The squirrel posts just aren't the same without him around.

Love the pic!

I'm convinced that the squirrels (who are completely insane) around my house/neighborhood  are conspiring to take us humans out.

Out in the wilds of Tennessee we have those humongous fox squirrels. They make those common gray squirrels look like gerbils.

The first time I saw them leaping around in the trees I thought we had a troop of monkeys living in the woods.

We also have those monsterous Pileated Woodpeckers, which have to bee seen to be disbelieved.

Oh no! Squirrels have kidnapped Susan!

Susan after all told us recently about how she was all hot and bothered and no doubt being such, her secret weapon is her smelly feet.

I think the squirrels have kidnepped Odinn7 because he was too close to unraveling their secret plan.  He's probably kept chained up inside the basement of a tree somewhere out in the woods.

Just the other day, right before we had a storm of thunder and lightning, I saw a squirrel run  up a light pole, jump up and down on top for a few seconds and then speedily come running down the other side. This all happened in a span of time less than 30 seconds in total.  It was kind of unusual as I've never seen a squirrel do that before.

squirrels are suicidal, didn't you know? Ever seen how after they run in front of your car they actually turn round and come back?

Sounds like that one was daring the gods to strike him down
