I must confess I haven't seen LADRI DI BICICLETTE (but I bought it) though I was able to catch THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS on TCM just in the last few months.  An intense, documentary style, low-rent movie that's a powerful peek at violence and terrorism in neighborhoods, oppression, and sacrifice; a scary, important film.  There are several Kurosawa I have not yet had the opportunity to view, too!  As for KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE, TOXIC AVENGER, THE SEARCHERS, STAGECOACH these are all films I can only recommend heartily!  KILLER KLOWNS is the standout scary comedy; TOXIC AVENGER is the disturbingly gory comedy; SEARCHERS is the is-she-now-bad-woman abducted by evil injun retribution epic including rape/murder, corpse mutilation, a villain named "Scar" and John Wayne with Natalie Wood, and Jeffrey Hunter chased by Vera Miles to boot!  STAGECOACH is the old-style western with multiple character threads and a great cast including Thomas Mitchell and Claire Trevor.

If you've never seen an Anime, I would say, yes, there's a genre, like Westerns, that can be explored to death.
If you've never seen an Anime, and want to know what the fuss is all about, I would strongly recommend classics like "The Ghost In The Shell" and/or "Spirited Away", just to get the proper tone, & then go on from there to the more obscure stuff.  Either of these films blows the whole "Dragonball Z" franchise into the next Universe . . .

Most of the Hitchcock films.  The only Hitchcock films that I have watched are Rear Window (Excellent movie), Psycho, and I forget the third film that I have seen of his.

I like Bad Movies too.  I still have not finished the Ed Wood Box set, and I have some more in mind for bad movies that I want to watch.  The big two that I really wanna see are Leonard Part 6 and Showgirls.

Welcome aboard!  Depending on your taste in films, I think that one of those two ("Leonard Part 6" or "Showgirls") is going to cause you a lot of pain.  For me, I can watch "Showgirls" and actually enjoy it for being so gosh darn awful.  On the other hand, "Leonard Part 6" is like watching 90 minutes of Bill Cosby not being funny.

You are probably right.  I've watched the ending of Leonard Part 6 a few days ago and I remember seeing the ending for Leonard Part 6 when I was like 6 or 7 and I though it was cool, but then again I didn't know what the movie was called, nor did I know any better. 

I've seen bits and pieces of Showgirls, I liked what I saw so far.  For the most part I have to watch a bad movie to see how bad it was.  Like a few months ago I saw that Comcast had Howard the Duck for fee in On Demand and I figured that it would be my best chance to see that film and got a a good kick out of that film.  It became one of my favorites.  I'm probably going to start the Troll movies tomorrow after I finish watch the 40 Year Old Virgin.

Citizen Kane, and I own Kagemusha, but I haven't seen any other Kurosawa movie.  On top of that, there are a bunch of Argento movies I feel I owe it to myself to watch (Tenebrae, anyone?)

I've never seen any of the Godfather movies, never seen any of the Exorcist movies and a commercial on TV tonight made me realize I have yet to see any of the Jason Bourne movies.

Lessee...Kubrick's The Shining is way up there on the missed list, along with a fair chunk of Kurosawa (most notably Ran).  And then there's stuff like Casablanca, White Heat, non-Psycho Hitchcock...and Rocky.  I've actually never seen that.

Most of the movies I like would be considered 'bad' by most people.  I wouldn't say that though.

Well, I can cross one off my list.  I watched THE EVIL DEAD last week, and we have ED2 in there waiting.

I've never seen a Star Wars film in its entirety. I know the storyline etc, and I've seen clips during my film studies lectures, but outside of that, I just never felt the need to watch it.

Also, I've never seen any of the Alien films. I don't know why, as I'm sure I'd probably quite like them, but there's always something higher than them on the list of things I want.

I'd recommend seeing them if you like the genre. IMO The Bourne Identity is far superior to The Bourne Supremacy, mainly because Paul Greengrass cannot direct a fight/action scene to save his life. I don't get motion sickness or anything even similar, but several times during that film I had to close my eyes. I'd estimate that at times, the camera angle is changing upwards of twice a second for comparatively long periods of time. I may be wrong, as I don't have it on DVD, but I remember several times hoping that the next scene wouldn't be an action scene... :-/

I'm not a big fan of Crime/Mafia movies so there was never real interest in watching Goodfellas, Casino etc. I always missed the opportunity to watch Who Framed Roger Rabbit. For some weird reason it just never happened. A Clockwork Orange is definitely on my to-watch list once I get my hands on the new DVD.

Speaking of Goodfellas, I've not seen it yet either, but I picked it up as part of a triple pack the other day. It was Goodfellas, True Romance (Christian Slater/Patricia Arquette) and Heat (Val Kilmer/Rob De Niro) brand new for about £6 ($10-12 I guess).

Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Doubt there's going to be much in the way of extras etc, but I hardly ever look at those anyway.
