Are you guys familiar with this site? I'm a little scared of it.

Whoa, I remember this site!  I was reading in a newsgroup for MST3K (actually, the group talks about a LOT of stuff, not just the show) and someone posted Caps review of the South Park movie, they (the poster) thought their review was hilarious.

As a former devout Christian (anyone's curious, I guess I consider myself agnostic now) I can agree with what other have said about wanting a site that reviews things from a Christian perspective, that's well and good, but these guys are just.. out there.

Anyway, if you want a review site that's designed for parents to see what's up about a movie's contents, I recommend http://www.screenit.com/

Strangely enough, you seem to need to subscribe to their channel to get a listing of there reviews (dunno if it's free or not) BUT you can get a lot of there reviews for FREE just by looking the movie up at the IMDB, so, dunno what the deal with that is..

Now, if you want to get reviews from a very liberal Christian (his words, not mine) you can check out Hollywood Jesus http://www.hollywoodjesus.com/ These guys review just about anything, even stuff that, in my more devout periods, I wouldn't have watched..

Finally, in the interest of fairness, if you want to talk to a Geeky (her words) bitter atheist who HATES religion (except for possibly New Age type stuff) you can check out Flick Filosopher http://www.flickfilosopher.com/.

I have to say that I believe that everyone in this country is entitled to his own opinion and also is free to express that opinion any time he chooses to. A site like this would be good for parents in general and Christians in particular if the review just gave a brief synopsis of the film and the elements it contains, responsible people could then decide if they or their children should see the film in question. The biggest problem I have with these people is not their beliefs, it's that they are convinced they know what's good for all of us and they would be very happy to foist their version of morality on the rest of us. I'm all in favor of freedom of choice, speech, and religion, I want to be sure that this freedom applies to all of us in this country.

In case anyone's curious I'm a Roman Catholic, and no I don't agree with a lot of the teachings of my church.

I just came from that site, and it reminds me of people who do nothing but sit around and watch movies and tv shows and listen to music all day looking and listening for anything and everything immoral.  This site is hilarious to me.  I mean, a man and woman in bed in underware, regarding the law enforcement as idiots, vulgar posturing?  Besides flipping the finger, what is a vulgar posture?
