Well, I've been hanging around for about two days now and haven't made much of an impact, I know.
My problem is that I'm a fan of bad movies, in fact, I get a big kick out of them.  My problem is that I have a hard time retaining anything about them.
Elvira, Julie Strain, monster movies, karate movies...they all hold a special place in my heart.  I just don't have the retention to really rate or review them.
I do own a few bad movies that I watch for the periodic comic relief, and I have a list of films here that I would love to review and leave up for comment for you, and as soon as things settle down a bit for me, I'll get to watching and reviewing them for you.
In the mean time, it's nicetameetcha.

ulthar

Welcome aboard.

I know what you mean about retention.  I've forgotten more B-movies than I remember.  They were probably throw-aways anyway - made to be forgotten.

That's one of the reasons I enjoy this board so much.  The collective knowledge here of movies in general, not just b-movies, is phenomenal.  I learn a lot reading here, and there have been many, many films suggested - both good and "bad."

Some would even call it down right frightening.  I'm also pretty good at forgetting movies -- until I rent them again and say "oh, yeah.  This movie sucked big time."

Andrew

Welcome aboard!  We discuss a pretty broad swathe of subjects here, so I don't think you should worry about sticking to just bad movies.  As Ulthar said, the amount of film knowledge that all of us can pool together is pretty darn impressive.  I've definitely learned a lot over the years.

When I read a movie review from this website I can only think of the time put into it. I'd have to have pen and paper handy to recall all that they report. Usually I find something that I like in every film I view, but if you read one of my movie reviews they are generally very short and the only thing I remember is the basic storyline and if I like the film or not. If you go to the Movie Review section you'll definately see alot of humor and hard work put into these B movie reviews.

Welcome to the board IzzyDedjet.

Welcome Izzy!!  There is a lot of knowledge going around here, from movies to music to squirrels to toilet  paper and beyond.   We're an opinionated bunch sometimes, but we like to keep it polite.

I , too suffer from the "I've seen so many movies I forget them" syndrome. Of course with the word geezer in my screen name I can be forgiven for a little forgetfulness.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Mr. DS

Nice to meet you too good sir!  I'm with you on the movie retention thing especially being a reviewer.  Sometimes I have to watch 15 minutes of a film, review that part and go on to the next 15 minutes.  We are all proud barons of useless knowledge so if someone doesn't remember a film, another person will on this board.

Retention - I'm sorry what did you say?

Welcome aboard, yes there is a vast array of knowledge here and on rare occasions some of it is actually useful.

There is something about that statement that just cracks me up. :teddyr:

Do you remember that you've forgotten them, or have you forgotten that you forgot?  :teddyr:

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I figured that this would be kind of a neat switch from my norms.  I'm an avid collector, poster and purveyor of fine smut on a few celebrity boards around the net, and I dabble in a few other topics as well.
The best way for me to remember anything about a movie is to have bewbies in it.  If ya can get that, I'm sure to remember the flick, if not the plot or anything else, other than whether it was a bad movie or not.

I mentioned a list of movies that I had and like an idiot, forgot to include it in my last posting.
That being said, and more for my own benefit, because I forget where I put my lists from time to time, I'd like to include it here.

Kentucky Fried Movie
Amazon Women on the Moon
The Supernaturals
Lust in the Dust
Oblivion 2: Backlash
Monster Dog
Prince of Darkness
Shocker
Trick or Treat
the Party Animal (I'm not sure if y'all cover the cheesy 80's party T&A flicks here, but I remember it being funny as all hell)
Forbidden Zone (I mentioned this one in an earlier post)
and lastly...
Schlock

I'm sure this list will grow, but this is what I have at the moment.

Again, it's nicetameetcha'll

Welcome, izzy, warm greetings from the Resident Honourable BadMovies.org Minister for South African Affairs.  :teddyr:

RC's comment about being the village idiot worries me a little: I thought that was my title?  :buggedout:

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

That just goes to show you Trevor that you can't have it all.  :twirl:
