I know there's been a bit too much commercial talk on this board lately, but does anybody else think it's wrong that in the new Denny's muppet commercials, Miss Piggy orders the Grand Slam breakfast?

J.R.

Piggy's always been a b***h, cannibalism probably seems fine to her. What I find disturbing is the Foster Farms frozen chicken campaign. Two chicken puppets go around trying to convinve people they're from Foster Farms, with the flavor and moistness therein. They actually want to be eaten!

What about Kermit eating the same meal.  Isn't he married to Miss Piggy?  Doesn't that make his eating sausage and bacon a wee bit creepy, too?

Suicidal animal spoke creatures. A topic made for psychoanalysis. Suprised Andy Rooney hasen't done that one. It just creeps me out! That damm tuna started it all. Its his fault....get 'em! What...did Starkissed promis him 72 Virgan Lady tuna who wanted so much to lay thier eggs for him? Who thought of this thing? Some Ad exec going through a midlife crisis? I once read a book titled "From those wonderful people who  brought you Pearl Harbor" About Ad execs....the title came from a drunken ad man, who floated it as a line for a commercial for a Japanese TV co. Corse, the real corker was the guy who, while viseting a mexican co. that made ...ahem..."Feminin Hygine Products", and was being shown, i kid you not, a giant, artifical Vagina that was used for "Product Design", and said through a Teqila haze, "Great...if it don work, 'ya can always take it out on a date." And people say WE"RE weird!

Don't forget the piglike creature in the Restaurant at the End of the Universe (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) that has been genetically engineered to want to be eaten.  It even kills itself.

Another one:

Pig:  "Today I'm featuring mouth-watering ribs! Tuck in then!"
Homer (as Adam):  "I gave Eve a rib...and now she's gone."
Pig:  (sacrastically) "One whole rib and still standing. Aren't you the plucky one, sir."

To paraphrase the response in Rocky Horror,  Kermit shouldn't feel bad, he's eaten pig before.
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Don't forget the M&Ms commercial where the three of them are sitting in the news stand munching on bags of M&Ms. At least in the other commercials, they show a real fear of being eaten. Of course I don't know what's worse, creatures that want to be eaten, or showing them backing away in fear...
