I really want to see this movie because one of my teachers worked on the set building and make up for it. He makes it out to be reeeely good, but apparently its not good enough to have a dvd release. Im gonna see if he'll let me borrow his VHS copy, I just hope i wont end up sitting in front of my tv watching lame ass-crap. Anyone seen this one?

It's worth watching just to see to see what happens to Joanie form Happy Days (Erin Moran).   I liked it.

There are always several, ahem, "unofficial" DVDs of it available on Ebay.  I've been meaning to pick it up, I've heard good things about it.

This movie is worth a look.

I bought a copy from some guy on eBay a couple years ago.
When I ordered it, I figured I'd get some blank, cheap looking DVD.
Instead, he provided a nice case and the original cover pic.

This has to be one of the coolest cover designs ever!

The backside of the case was obviously something he threw together...but it looks really good and includes a full synopsis of the film with pics.
It looks professional.

Even the disc had the above pic on it, which was obviously made on his computer.
I knew that it was after the third time I played in in my DVD player.

When I ejected the disc, half of the artwork had peeled off...inside the player!
I eventually peeled off the rest by hand.

For the next two weeks, whenever I'd take a disc out, little fragments of the label would be stuck to the different disc I had just played.
I wonder how much is left in there?
So far, it hasn't messed up my player.  (knock on wood)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Back to the movie...
It's good, but does feel somewhat dated.
And the characters' names are totally stupid.

Kore, Ilvar, Baelon, Quuhod...Trantor!?
Horrible, horrible names.

But the premise is intriguing.
A powerful being sends a group of people to a dangerous planet.
Once there, they discover a giant pyramid.
Little do they know that the pyramid is capable of taking their worst fears and manifesting them in the form of horrifying creatures and/or traps.

And the creatures and traps DO kill!
(it isn't in their minds)

It does have a slight twist at the end which I shall not reveal.

I liked it and may even write a review for it.

You guys mentioned Erin Moran's death in this film...

It is a hard death to watch.
Especially because you think she'll survive the pyramid.

------------------------------------------------------------

The other memorable scene is of Quuhod (pronounced Q-Hod) having his crystals turned against him.
He's played by Sid Haig and he doesn't use conventional firearms.
He uses his throwing crystals.
But when he unwittingly shatters them, he becomes defenseless and vulnerable to the pyramid.

Quuhod Loses It...

It's an ALIEN rip-off but it's probably the most consistently entertaining one. As said, how can you go wrong with Sid Haig and a giant maggot?  :buggedout: :bouncegiggle:

The 'freaky lookin' dude' from the HILLS HAVE EYES was Micheal Berryman...he was also the guy who looked like a "chicken f*cker' in the DEVIL's REJECTS...with Sid haig  as well...of course!

If you like Sid Haig (and who doesn't?!?!) ...you should check him out in his first role...in a film directed by Jack Hill. It's called SPIDER BABY...

This is my personal favorite Alien ripoff of all time.

No one still does low budget knock offs quite like Roger Corman.
