After that VU album, I needed something sweet, so I chose the perfect collection of any singer's hits:
SARAH VAUGHAN's GOLDEN HITS

It's the perfect album for Autumn, for being alone, or for falling in love.  Yeh, I get "misty" listening to any of Sarah's interpretations... they just get better, even more so than "Autumn In New York" and her definitive version... chalk it up to old-fart syndrome, but it's still the greatest "hits" collection I've yet heard, perfect for dancing to, fireside chats, and family and friends.  Halloween party music?  A Thanksgiving selection par excellence !!   :teddyr: 
If you're at all interested in the single most esoteric of the GREAT JAZZ singers, my own favorite, SARAH VAUGHAN, this is the place to start.  Do I love this record?  "Moonlight In Vermont?"  :smile: :smile: :smile:
