*sigh*

It's just not what it used to be . . .  I long for the days where I could wake up bright and early towards the end of October and catch William Cameron Menzie's THE MAZE or watch Roddy McDowall comanding a foam rubber golem in IT!

Kindest regards,

Kevin P.

I try to tell myself that it's better than nothing, but there are few films there I'd actually want to watch, seeing as how I've caught them all multiple times in the past. Blood of the Vampire is a great Hammer flick from the 50's, even if it has nothing to do with vampires. The Brain Eaters is one 50's flick I have yet to see, so I'll try to catch that one.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Man, October 24th ! ! ! THE BRAIN EATERS has been on my list for ages. I go in for surgery on the 22nd. Don't think I'll be up to catch it this year.

Mr. DS

for me having horror on the television daily is a good thing.  Thats why I love this time of year although some movies get overplayed.

JESUS GOD, will they ever stop showing Piñata: Survival Island.  It's bad enough that a channel calling itself American Movie Classics changed its format and started showing tons of movies that will never qualify for that distinction, but why do they keep showing Piñata: Survival Island?!?!?!  It belongs on the Sci-Fi channel.  Oh well, they've got a few decent things scheduled.

I'll have to check out Friday the 13th part 7, that's about the only one of those I haven't seen.  And being a bad movie lover, I'll - perhaps - have to have a few beers and check out Halloween 5.  That movie is so awful it's funny, if you're in the mood for it.  Other than that, I sure wish they'd flip the schedule so that everything that's on at 3:30 AM would be on in primetime, and the tired old stuff we've all seen a hundred times would be on in the middle of the morning.

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

Sorry, but I can't abide AMC since they went to editing the movies and running commercials. They're as bad as TNT in stretching a two hour movie to three hours.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Mr_Vindictive

I've lost all faith in MonsterVision.

Scream 3, Pinata Island, Gothika!?  Seriously!?

I miss the days when I could flip over to AMC and catch a b&w horror film that I had never seen.  Now it's big screen hollywood crap that no one cares about.  I'll stick with IFC this year and see what they plan on airing.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

It used to be that the lineup was loaded with great films, now those are the exception.  Still, if you look through, there are usually a couple of gems for you to pick out and watch.  I think that last year there was about five or six like that, including "Creature with the Atom Brain."

Well, i'm usually the MonsterVision guy this time of year, but my TV's done broke.  So thanks for covering for me!  MY list would be:
Dr. Renault's Secret
Curse of the Living Corpse
Jack the Ripper
The Howling
Hellraiser  (its my favorite horror film)
The Beast Must Die  (i like Peter Cushing)
HellBound (see above)
Earth vs. the Spider

So there is some stuff I'd watch...BUT WHERE THE HECK ARE MY DAMNED KAIJU????????????
Brother can you spare a 42 inch LCTV and set of Godzilla DVDs?
