Favorite Rob Schneider Movie?

I don't care what anyone says about Rob Schneider, I think he's hilarious!

Take a moment to vote.
The list I've shown you here includes almost all of the works he's done so far.
Since he's usually a bit player in most movies, especially Adam Sandler films, I felt that those should be included too.
Who can forget him yelling his classic line in The Waterboy?

"You can do it!"

People seem to hate him with a passion and I've never understood why.
If I were able to hang out with a celebrity comedian for an afternoon, he'd be one of my first choices.

I'd have to say my all time favorite Rob Schneider film would be the original Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo.
It has so many memorable moments.

After being forced to sit through The Animal - in a theater no less - I'll vote for whichever one ends with Rob meeting a violent and untimely death. . .

Ditto. I have the bad habit of muttering (mostly to myself) "That's a huge b***h!" whenever I see a really large or tall woman, whether in real life or in another film.

I voted for "Down Periscope". I enjoy the movie itself, and I feel that Rob Schneider played his part in it very well.

Most of his movies fall into one or more of the following categories: 1) never seen it [20] 2) Adam Sandler [10] 3) never heard of it [7]. Of the remaining five movies, three I didn't even realize at first he was in them (although I like all three - "Surf Ninjas", "Muppets from Space" and "Necessary Roughness"). Of the only two left, I didn't really like "Judge Dredd" too much, although it is watchable as a mindless blow-stuff-up kind of movie.

I think it's because of the kinds of roles he plays. Or should I say, the role he plays. I like him as a secondary character, but his role was not meant to be the main character in a feature length film.

Definitely Deuce Bigalow. I saw that movie about two or three times in the theater. The quote "THATS A HUGE B*TCH" is one of the best ever.

I haven't enjoyed anything I've seen him in, but he did inspire one of my favorite Roger Ebert quotes: "Speaking in my official capacity as a Pulitzer Prize winner, Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks."

Sorry, Ash, but you don't list my favorite: Demolition Man. According to IMDB, it's an uncredited role, but I don't see how; he's got a substantial supporting part. As has been mentioned, Schneider makes a good background character, but he just doesn't strike my fancy in a lead role. He seems to be more of a general cut-up than an actual actor, one of those guys who would probably be fun to hang out with, but he's just not entertaining enough to carry a movie.

My favorite: his last role. EVER. Then I know I never have to avoid anything new by him again.

He's actually been a few films I've liked: Down Periscope, Necessary Roughness, even part of The Longest Yard remake; but that was usually despite him, or his role was so small I forgot he was in it.

I even got bored by him on SNL; just a second tier performer who doesn't bring anything interesting, original, or funny to what he's work in. Anyone could have played his role on that episode of Seinfeld he was in.

I used to like him when I first heard of him. Really, I think he was lots of fun in Judge Dredd and Knock Off. Plus he already had vocal haters around, and I though it was amusing to like somebody everybody else seemed to hate (yep, I'm that kind of guy).

But then I started watching his solo works. As they say in some other page, oh the humanity! Not only they were disgusting and unfunny, but every single one made the previous look good.

Schneider completely lost any faith I had in him after The Animal. I rather liked Schneider's skits on SNL and I really enjoyed Deuce Bigalow in the theater. It still holds up well today, which is surprising.

The Animal was trash, Hot Chick was vomit inducingly awful, and Deuce Bigalow 2 is something that no one should see. As someone else said, I like him much better when he's a supporting character. He just doesn't work well as a leading man, and studios need to learn that. Give him some more supporting roles and I'd be just fine.

Being as quotes from Deuce Bigalow have been brought up, I'll write out my favorite:

"What do the letters TJ mean to you!?"
"I dunno....Turkey J!zz?"

Cruel yes, but for some reason - hilarious.

Down Periscope inches out Judge Dredd. His performance as Exeutive Officer Pascoe was just brilliant. Some people may accuse him of just screaming at people. Keep this in mind though, if it was anybody else then it would be someone else doing the screaming and that person wouldn't be Rob Schneider would it?.

I still want one of those ABC robots though.
