I'm always a little suspicious of movies that are "based on actual events" but from what I can determine this film depicts what everyone involved claimed happened. I found the movie itself to be enjoyable,  the abduction scenes to be pretty creepy, and the story to be interesting. As far as the real people and their story, I don't know, wasn't there so all I have to go on is what they say happened and that could be a hoax that they perpatrated for reasons of their own. I don't see why they would do this since it just brings you grief from just about everyone else, but people do some strange things. My personal opinion is that any aliens advanced enough to come all this way would realize that they are dealing with sentient beings and conduct themselves accordingly. On the other hand I'm willing to admit that they might just consider humans to be a sort of lower life form that has managed to learn a few tricks so they would treat us like lab rats.

One thing that they have brought us is an endless stream of original anal probe humor,
