Hey, this is an amusing thread!  :teddyr:

I have tried to round up my top ten movies that can gotcha' outta that dark hole of dispair anytime you call, and 'ere's the list as follows:

I changed to to SLEEPER which is the correct title instead of "The Sleeper". It's a Woody Allen film Dr_Malavaqua. He has many pre-80's comedies that are great. Including TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN and BANNANA'S. Welcome to the forum Dr_Malavaqua.

Wanted to give mention to ACE VENTURA: WHEN NATURE CALLS.

Must give acknowledgement to OFFICE SPACE and TRADING PLACES.

I have only seen a handful of W.A movies and this/these is/are not one/any of them..*storing it as a good movie in cavity between ears* Will watch it/them when I get the chance!     (And yes I will stop/cease with the "/" marks.. :drink:)

ACE VENTURA got the cut off unfortunately! Spot 11 or something..  :bluesad:

ABBOTT and COSTELLO meet FRANKENSTEIN  :hot:  Gaah! I want this movie, but unfortunately the order from the rain forest already shipped, and I can't afford the luxury of two orders in the same month... (Sweden, a far away country - with hot women.)   :bouncegiggle:  Also missed out on the TMNT box set, but that's another story!

Also consider other ABBOTT & COSTELLO horror comedies.

Abbott And Costello: Meet The Killer (Boris Karloff)
Abbott And Costello: Hold That Ghost
Abbott And Costello: Meet The Ivisible Man
Abbott And Costello: Meet Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde
Abbott And Costello: Meet The Mummy

Actually they have many non-horror comedies as well.

Oh yea, YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN is high on my list

I'll have to give TRANSYLVANIA 6-5000 a look. I haven't seen it yet.

HappyGilmore

Transylvania 6-5000 is great.

I was gonna list Spinal Tap.  Love that flick.

It's really hard to find good comedies.   Whenever I see one that doesn't look too terrible I put it right ast the top of my netflix que.  most comedies really aren't very funny.
