The new Jimmy Eat World record, Chase This Light - real sing-along rock-pop, but in a good way. The single, Big Casino is one of those songs that gets into your head and takes over your brain for a week or two.

I'm listening to my version of the same, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART & HIS MAGIC BAND the Mirror Man sessions... all scorching blues, outtakes from Buddha Records sessions, not released until 1971, and at that time, 'twas really an academic exercise, but now, as then, these takes are fascinating and damned hot plus, we can hear what's coming ...
