Love that record... "...talking to the trees of the cobweb strange, dropping circle stones on a sundial, playing hide and seek with the ghosts of dawn, waiting for a smile from a sun child..."

I don't have that on CD, though I'll now buy it 'cause you made me go looking for my vinyl copy in order to stick it on my rickety record-player to play, and I CAN'T FIND IT !!!  :hatred:  Where did I put it?  ...I'M ANGRY WITH MYSELF !    :teddyr:

Enema of the State by Blink 182

also:

Greatest Hit...And More by Reel Big Fish.  Underrated band in my opinion.

RECOMMENDATION:  Hey guys, if it's good, I like it, and might even have a representation in my collection.   I love recordings of Maurice RAVEL's piano works (played only by VLADO PERLEMUTER) THE STOOGES, HANK WILLIAMS, LOUIS ARMSTRONG, SARAH VAUGHAN, ELVIS COSTELLO, ELVIS PRESLEY, RICKY NELSON, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART, HOWLIN' WOLF, FATS WALLER, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, THE KINKS, ROXY MUSIC, CHOPIN, BACH, CHARLES MARIE WIDOR, CESAR FRANCK, CAMILLE SAINT SAENS, NEIL YOUNG, PRETENDERS, CLAUDE DEBUSSY, SCOTT JOPLIN, ROBERT JOHNSON, DIZZY GILLESPIE, THOMAS DOLBY, THE BEATLES, PINK FLOYD, JUNE CHRISTY... I avoided lots of names, though I'm not such a big fan of SAMMY DAVIS JR....  Nonetheless, out of all of the recordings I own and have listened to, this one I'm listening to is one of the very best, and I list all those artists because if you like one of them, you will like this album.  It ranks very near the top of my forever list:

Weezer (2001) by Weezer.  Good album.  Short though.

Yellow Discipline by Jim Norton.  Very funny comic, but cringe worthy.  Very honest and open.

I've got the 30th anniversary remastered edition of it. I highly recommend that copy of it as the sound quality blows all previous CD releases of it away IMO.

SAMMY DAVIS JR. Sings LAURINDO ALMEIDA Plays

That is a really strange combo.  I never would have put those two together.  I'm actually a Laurindo fan, but like you, not so much Sammy Davis.  I will have to keep an eye out for this.

See if this sample clip works: http://wm09.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE57919D84CAE7F20D79F3E48C5B16AF529DD4CE2C010255E49EFBE3358A81C42D640A4D8D2B7E577B479A8B32FA4500ED3C0ED52ECBC1B&sql=50:0pfwxm9aldte~T

Not strange at all.  This is a rare and perfect record (the bonus track of "Misty" which is quite good only detracts... get me? )  This is a GREAT record... your clip is from the very first track, and it does set a melancholic tone, however, this record will still surprise you... it is truly superb.
Now, I'm listening to ROXY MUSIC Country Life, since the cover is self-censored (and grabbed from AMAZON) I hope it is not unacceptable, I will certainly edit the image if necessary... !!
Okay, I'm afraid to post this cover for fear of censorship... I don't think it's so bad...

It also happens to be one of the greatest freakin' records in ROCK (and I loathe the word "freakin" a devolved abomination from "friggin'" which is a devolved abomination from one of our favorite "f" words, or is there only the one???)  COUNTRY LIFE is one of ROXY MUSIC's greatest...   :teddyr:

The best album to come out of the Operation Ivy breakup.  Roots Radicals, Maxwell Murder, Timebomb and Ruby Soho are all great songs.  Good choice!
